Parking, friendly staff, convenient to city Centre &. attractions, a bit noisy at night with drunk people arriving all throughout the wee hours of the night, but other than that it’s a great place to stay.

Spent a couple of nights here to attend a wedding. Very clean and comfortable hotel. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had an upgraded room that had lots of space. We enjoyed our stay very much. All of the staff we encountered went out of they're way to accommodate all of our needs.

The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and kind. April helped us in numerous ways and found us a way to get a private car and tour of the area

Excellent location, very kind staff, and spacious, comfortable rooms. Could benefit from a little refurbishment and greater attention to detail in cleaning. Other guests a bit on the noisy side, but hopefully not a common thing.

Stayed in hotel for 2 nights. Beds comfy and hotel is very central to shops, restaurants and bars. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent. Also had afternoon tea and it was lovely too. Lady who served us gave a great recommendation for a restaurant when we asked and offered to book a table for us. Very enjoyable weekend.

A well located property, but having stayed in other Maldon hotels, I couldn’t believe this was the same chain. I’d stayed in the Cork on a few days before, and it was lovely, but this was like something else. Room smelled like a greasy spoon Café, fittings, hanging off wall in bathroom, TV remote with flat batteries, stains on carpet. No staff to greet for breakfast. Hard croissants. It was mercifully cheap, but I think I could see why. That said, it was quiet and well located for Derry centre.

Disappointing.
Room was freezing cold, windows wide open when it was 4 degrees outside. Radiator in our room didn't work, staff argued that it did. They even suggested that we didn't know how to turn the radiator on. I'm 56 years of age. Wouldn't show us an alternative room, they were too busy. Staff member came and checked radiator and hey-presto it didn't work. Moved from executive double room to a standard double. No refund on the difference in price!!

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We had an issue with the sheets not being cleaned properly and someone came to change them right away. The bathroom was a bit dated and could use a deep clean, but it worked well and the location couldn't have been better. We were also able to snag one of the free parking spots at the hotel.

You must visit Derry, and this a great stay.
Nice hotel just a few steps off the Diamond. Easy access to the city wall. Best in Show award to Shannon at the desk...super-friendly and super-helpful, she made looking for supper, looking around, and even parking great experiences. Breakfast was well appointed, too!

Shannon on reception was excellent - one of the best members of staff we came across in our trip around Northern Ireland. No request was too much and she advised us of events and dining options that were so good.

checkin good parking good and free if available receptionist and other staff very helpful only downside was due to a coach your staying there the restaurant was booked out until 8.15pm with no warning. would have been nice if some consideration was given to the other hotel guests

The staff are great folks, helpful beyond the point that they should be. I have only one issue, the breakfast is appalling! You would get a better one in Coldizt, but as I said the staff are class

This was a disappointing stay. Having stayed at The Maldron in Belfast and in Glasgow before, I thought that The Maldron Derry would offer the same level of comfort and service. The customer service was flawless, however the hotel and the room itself are a bit run down - not what I expected from a four star hotel. The location is very central though, and it was a good stay overall, just a bit pricey for what it was.

This place was not what I was expecting. At all. I’ll start with the positive which was the friendly staff. The lobby looks nice but it’s a facade. I can’t believe this is rated four stars. It was run down with dirty carpets throughout. If you read through the recent reviews, you’ll see that this is not the only one that mentions toenail clippings on the floor. Yes, you read that right. Toenails. There is also motion sensing lights everywhere so the dirty hallways are pitch black as you approach your room. The area around the hotel does not feel safe either. We were disappointed in Derry overall. Would def not return.

The Maldron is right inside the Derry walled city and is within 5 minutes of the Tower Museum. We loved that we could walk the top wall from our hotel and explore the area within the walls as well as the peace bridge and the murals. Breakfast was delicious!
