A base only.
Nice staff but tired room with windows that don't close or open properly. Very draughty at that end of the room. Access to one side of double bed only (Room 505) Noisy lift when arriving on level 3, but we were warned by staff. Continental (?) breakfast only available.

Don’t really know where the 4 stars have come from. Wall paper needs cleaning and room needs re-decorating. Shower leaked all over the floor. Amazing front of house very friendly. But as stated- I don’t think this place is four stars at all. 2 maximum.

Great location, good staff but tired hotel
Great location close to transport links and eating facilities, front of house staff very accommodating and pleasant. The Hotel is currently having some redecorating carried out in some of the rooms. The room I had was in a poor state of repair and quality (bearing in mind this is supposed to be 4 stars). The carpets were worn and stained, damaged door frames, and the bathroom tiles and walls were stained.

I liked that it was in the Hampstead area of London, an area I am particularly fond of. It is also more European-touristy rather than American-touristy, offering a different experience. I love the traditional look of the building, the rooms, and the decor. The breakfast was also quite tasty, and the hotel is located reasonably close to tube stations and other transportation. I would definite return on a future trip to London. Only small complaint is that the computer available for guests never did work properly while we were there.

Not worth it
I didn't enjoy the brief stay in the hotel. Overall this is an old hotel that isn't being maintain properly. - Old carpets which aren't being clean as the entire hotel have a bad oder. - Bathroom is small and inconvenient, celling covered with mold. - Old mattress super uncomfortable

The basement room was clean, well decorated and a good size for London. We were disappointed because there was no kettle, no tea bags, milk and toilet rolls at various points in our three night stay. Surely that's not too much to expect?!

The staff was outstanding, and we loved the breakfast. Our beds were comfortable, but there was mold in the bathroom. There isn’t adequate ventilation for the bathroom, so the steam after taking a shower lingers and there is mold all over the ceiling and upper portion of the walls in that room. Also, the website says in two places that they have an airport shuttle, but they do not. When we called to arrange to be picked up at the airport, we were told we would have to get a taxi because the hotel doesn’t have a shuttle at all. The listing is inaccurate regarding this, and we were left to our own devices to manage our own transportation. We enjoyed our stay, but the mold in the bathroom and inaccuracies in the listing need immediate attention from management. The mold situation is serious and could cause a severe reaction to another guest. The lack of a shuttle despite the website claiming there is one is false advertising, and while we were able to work around it, it caused us considerable unnecessary stress and frustration.

Could use a cleaning
The front desk personnel were amazing and very friendly. Location was close to Finchley Station and some restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. Room was not vacuumed and counters were dusty. I had to wipe down remote with alcohol swabs. Bathroom was dirty and I had to clean toilet myself. Luckily housekeeping left cleaning supplies in bathroom. Overall decent value for price but far from London if not familiar with London Underground.

This was our third stay at the Langorf Hotel and I am sure that we will return. As you would expect there had been staff changes since our last visit. Reception was more friendly and welcoming both on arrival and departure, but the breakfast team was less so - when I went to ask for a coffee (you can't make your own) I was told to 'Wait'. The building itself is an old one and the upgrades that have been made mean that the place is nice, but it's not a boutique hotel! We had a great night's sleep, comfy bed, decent facilities and enjoyable breakfast. We had enough space to move around and were not disturbed by other guests or noise outside. It's really handy for Finchley Road tube, taking just over half an hour to get to the O2,

Hotel was very tired and needed a coat of paint. It was very clean although the tea tray in my room still had tea in the pot! Staff all very pleasant and I was only staying one night, so on the whole it was acceptable.

Got hoodwincked.
The workers are wonderful especially Ana. My question is " By what standard is this hotel 4 star?" When the commonest items like the internet, microwave, and mini refrigerator that are easily available at no star roadside motels in the USA can offer the items mentioned, how come this so called 4-star hotel could not offer one?

Toilet dirty with actual poo
Toilet was dirty with actual poo on it, there wasn’t any cleaner and the receptionist didn’t do anything about it just apologised and said cleaner will clean it next day. Cleaner came one hour later than she was supposed to and was not only sorry but she was even angry that she had a complaint. She argued a lot and even tried to rub the poo on the toilet with her hand (gloves on though) to prove that it won’t remove but then she realised that it’s really poo so became nervous and started cleaning and while cleaning with the same glove that touched the poo, she touched everything and everywhere. No matter how much I tried to stop her, she didn’t stop and I even asked her to leave so I clean everything myself. She cleaned the toilet and dried it with a towel and then dried the basin and tap with the same towel. I couldn’t believe my eyes and then I called the receptionist to come and stop her and he tried but couldn’t as she was really stubborn and at the end the receptionist who claimed to be the manager too said “but anyway how can she not touch anything else” and I said she should remove that glove it’s not hygienic and he said but she can’t keep putting on and taking off gloves can she” and I was really shocked by his mindset. A manager was having understanding for a person because it seemed to him that removing the dirty gloves and then putting gloves back on for more cleaning is hard work and is unnecessary. disappointing. We checked out that day & moved to another hotel.

Tv remote was missing and could not be replaced. Phone not working. Carpet heavily stained and dirty. Bed hard and foam filled pillows. Only herbal teas in bedroom . Plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure in shower

Good location for us, not far from Royal Free hospital. Helpful reception staff, good self serve breakfast. Generally felt a bit down-at-heel, room desperately needed new carpet& curtains. lovely refurbished bathroom didn’t make up for uncomfortable bed, shabby paintwork and skimpy cleaning.

This hotel is clean and the staff are polite. However, it falls short of the standards expected for a 4 star hotel, and certainly requires some re-dscoration. The rating system needs to be reviewed to ensure 4 star expectations are met by hotels such as this.

Victorian Villa converted to hotel. If arriving by car - park in a residents slot and the hotel issues you a ticket as a resident. Its good value for money but needs some money spent
