I stayed here to see my daughter who was attending the university of the arts locally - so a good location. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Room was good with all amenities and was clean. Breakfast was good. Convenient parking.
I had just departed 10 days in Brighton in a Airbnb that did not have a Aircon in an unseasonably warm September. I picked this Holiday Inn because they guaranteed air conditioning. When I checked in, the thermostat in the room said 29° and regardless of what I did, I could not get either the thermostat or the air conditioning to work. The front desk manager came up and fiddled with it, reset it, and we hoped it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, it made no difference and I ended up opening the window to try and cool off. I spoke to several other people at the hotel that had the same problem. It appeared that the air conditioning system throughout the hotel was not working properly. Although extremely hot days are not common, when they are, it is nice to have a functional air conditioning system especially when it is advertised as a feature of the hotel.
