A lovely quirky hotel with an amazing evening meal
A fantastic welcome by a friendly member of staff. A lovely quirky hotel, however, not disable friendly, but I guess that’s to do with being a listed building. The food was amazing with lovely fresh ingredients. The mussels were probably the best I’d had and the trio of pork was delightful. Only negative being, the bar closed early, The breakfast was ok. Fresh fruit salad would have been nice as I am lactose intolerant and cereals aren’t something I go for. Also baked beans with the breakfast would also have been something we all would have liked to have seen on offer. We were a party of 6 celebrating a 60th birthday and all 6 stayed the night. Will definitely be returning.

The hotel is beautiful and food good although evening meal better than breakfast which is quite basic. Room was lovely and bed comfortable with a great bath. Restaurant staff were good but bar staff less polite. The most negative part of the experience was a rude demand to settle evening meal bill despite having a tab as a resident.
