We chose this hotel due to its excellent location and having stayed at Leonardo hotels before, we knew what to expect. The hotel is clean and modern, the staff are very friendly.
The only disappointment was the breakfast, most of the food items were cold and a new toaster needs to be invested in. However, that’s being extremely picky and it didn’t at all detract from a lovely nights stay. We would absolutely choose this hotel again
Very basic for 4 star, requires improvement . Dirty, shabby, staff not welcoming. Not 4 star material. No fridge no wardrobe, no water, no biscuits. Toiletries of poor quality, no shower caps. Travelodge would be better choice. Outside area full of cigarette ends, our room key wasn’t working. Would not recommend
No parking at hotel but parking nearby which was not well sign posted but secure and reasonably priced multistorey car park

Great location for a family trip, receptionist was brilliant and checked us in when we arrived to drop off our bags ar 11am which was a bonus. Everything very clean, only negative was the rooms were very basic, bathrooms in particular were similar to a more budget chain. But for what we wanted it was great
LOVE: Location, friendliness of staff, soundproofing (considering there was a storm outside, you couldn't hear a thing!) and the bonus of a sizeable discount on Kings Dock car park!
LOATHE: If I had to nitpick; Bathroom was a little worn out.
Aside from that, and especially for the price this weekend - absolutely brilliant!

The property is perfect for the Albert Docks area, and the staff are lovely and friendly.

Have stayed at the Leonardo Liverpool multiple times and have had a great stay. I’m sad to say that we were left disappointed this time. The price of breakfast has been raised, which is fine, however the choice of items and standard of the food was very disappointing. Less choice of hot food, undercooked items and food serving dishes left empty for long periods. Definitely not worth the £31 price tag.

Nice light, bright and cheerful hotel. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great and vast choice.
Was a bit disappointed at the limited menu though in the lunch/evening restaurant, although the chicken burger was tasty! Had expected the restaurant to be a bit more 'intimate' and cosy but I guess that's one of the things about being one of a chain of establishments; they tend to be a bit impersonal.
IMO the best thing was the location of the hotel. Absolutely perfect, Dockside, easy walking distance of the Mersey, museums, shops, railway station and plenty of great eateries. And I could almost reach out of the room window and touch the Liverpool Wheel!

The location is excellent for the Arena, the bar staff and the room service team were helpful and friendly. The room was seriously dated and nowhere near 4 star (no extractor fan, fridge, fronts to wardrobe, pillows, space…). One morning the water was tepid as the boiler had broken. The reception staff were varied with one bordering on just rude. The breakfast was ok but the ketchup and was so low budget I thought I had put strawberry sauce on my plate and the beans translucent.

The staff were very friendly but the hotel seemed tired. We stayed here in 2019 and it seems to have gone down hill since then.
The bathrooms are tired, we had a cracked sink and rust around the edges of the mirror. The paint was dirty and it didn’t feel very clean.
There was no hot water in any of the 3 rooms I’d booked on Saturday morning, and when I mentioned to Reception the reply was it was because everyone was using hot water at that time and it was the same for everyone, but there should be hot water now (1pm).. and cold water is good for your hair!
I would usually expect guaranteed hot water any time of day in a hotel?!? No apology or offer of compensation, so it seemed like this wasn’t a one-off issue, but quite normal..
The bed was comfy and the breakfast was good. It was a convenient location for the Arena, but it was £10 more per night than the Premier Inn 2 mins walk away, so I think next time I’ll book that as my daughter stayed there this weekend and had lots of hot water and a great bathroom (and powerful shower - she said her hair had never felt so clean haha) as well as everything else.

Staff were welcoming. The room was not great at all, next to the bed there was a large stain on the carpet that was very questionable, shelf missing in bathroom. Upon checking in at 3pm there was groups of people in close rooms making lots of noise getting ready for a night out, which I do not have an issue with at all however better room could have been selected for a couple. We asked to move rooms because of this and the room was much better however I wouldn’t have rated it as a 4 star hotel. Would not recommend for a couple staying the night in Liverpool

We had two rooms for a night & the location of the hotel is perfect right on Albert Docks & our room had a view for the Liver building & Albert Docks. The staff were friendly & efficient, the hotel & rooms very pleasant, will definitely be back

The staff were amazing, couldn’t do more to help, room clean and bright.
It’s a shame the there was not parking at the hotel
It was only 5 mins away though.
£12 a day parking and £12.50 /£14.50 breakfast
I thought one or the other could’ve been included.
But I would definitely recommend staying as it was a great location.
