Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
The hotel is located in what looks like a derelict housing estate / industrial estate / concrete jungle. There are no nice views, so just bear that in mind.
As you enter, staff are friendly and greet you and the entrance looks quite plush and modern. However, the pine furniture everywhere makes the room look incredibly dated. It’s like taking a trip back to the 1970s/80s. The rooms are VERY basic, there are no slippers, or dressing gown, even the rug in the picture was missing. The bathroom mirror does not have a de-misting function, so you have to use a towel to wipe away the steam. In the morning I was greeted by tiny insects slivering on the bathroom floor… I call them silver surfers in the U.K. so I had to put my shoes on whenever I used the bathroom. There’s no spy hole in the door, and a gap between the door and the frame, which made me feel very unsafe as a solo traveller. The walls are also very thin, so I was constantly woken by people chatting outside or in the room next door.
Breakfast wasn’t too bad, but it was great so I only had it once, as it was cold, but there’s a good variety. I preferred to venture out to buy breakfast in the town centre. There’s no room service and the restaurant food was very limited, so I ordered Uber eats every night.
Would I stay here again - NO.
