The property was a bit hard to find. There's limited dining options nearby, but try Kossie's Cafe just a half a block aeay. Great people there, fabulous atmosphere and great food.

They would not budge on the 2;00 check-in time. We arrived off of a cruise ship at 7:30am and were told nothing could be done until 2:00. There is nothing open in the are that early so we were forced to wander the area until 9:00 am when the castle opened. They did take care of our bags to their credit. The bag area was full when we returned so I think this happened often. The street it is on is hilly and was difficult for two different cans to find. The Wi-Fi was excellent. Breakfast was good.

This is a very nice hotel. It is a 10 minute walk to downtown and close to other Lisbon attractions. The rooms are efficient and the staff was very helpful. The breakfasts were a good start to each day.

I flew in from the states and met up with my daughter who flew in from France. We haven’t seen each other in 7 months which is a long time for us. I loved the fact that the hotel was small and in the neighborhood. I’m from the inner city so the neighborhood didn’t phase me at all. The property itself was clean, breakfast was cool and the AC unit was working well. If you want water go around the corner to the store and buy it for 1 euro instead of the hotel price of 2.50 euros. I recommend the hotel for your stay Lisbon.

Great location, near Alfama and Castelo Sao Jorge. Close to Martim Moniz and Rosario, walkable to Rua Augusta and Prada Comercio. Hotel is quiet and clean, with a great breakfast every morning.

Affordable and everything you need. Staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean and fresh. Not a lot of extras but if that keeps the cost down, fine by me.

I stayed here last year and booked again this year. The hotel is well located close to the old Town and just 5 mins from the subway. There are some nice restaurants in the niebourhood if you look around. The staff are friendly and the included breakfast is great

Nice but simple hotel for tourists and short term stays. Clean and updated. Walkable to much of Lisbon provided you like walking (and hills). Good breakfast. Small rooms, small foyer

Lovely hotel, great location
This hotel has a fresh, modern look and our room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Lisbon both on foot and by public transport (no 28 tram and metro stop nearby). We had a 'city view double' room which had lovely views over the rooftops. The only thing that could have made it better would be a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but other than that it was perfect, thank you!

Perfect for solo travellers.
Clean hotel with 4 floors of rooms. Very cosy and intimate location. Walkable to all major tourist sites. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel was close to restaurants and shopping. It was clean and had a nice breakfast although it lacked vegan options. The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom had a frosted glass wall and door making it very hard to sleep if the other person was in the bathroom. The bathroom lighting was poor as well. There were no recylcing optins in the room.

I know that's not saying much for Porto, but this place is up a steep hill unless you take the escalator by Maharaj restaurant to go home. Very nice hotel, felt like ⭐⭐⭐ rather than ⭐⭐. Super nice staff. Decent breakfast.

Mouraria is a very nice hotel located in older neighborhood surrounded by local community residents. Great experience. Great Breakfast offered and friendly environment. It exceeded our expectations. The rooms are smaller than what we are used to but was more than enough for our 4 night stay.

Lovely hotel but a tad small for long stays
This property has an excellent location and a tasty breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful. The only complaint would be the small size of the room. We managed and as we only stayed four nights it was fine. If we were staying longer we would have felt cramped.

The staff at the front desk and at breakfast were the hotels saving grace. The hotel was clean. The light switch for the bathroom was behind the door and inconvenient. It was not quiet. We could hear the conversation , and the toilet flushing from the next room.hear the conversation in the next room

Quiet Hotel in Heart of Alfama
Great district to stay in and hotel was right in the centre of the action, yet the hotel street did not have any traffic and was nice and quiet.

Great Breakfast. Nice hotel. Very nice staff. Mouraria is not the best location (in my opinion). Nothing wrong really but just a couple of blocks south (in Alfama) is better and allows for more choices for walks and exploring. I hesitate to mention this but the sewer gas smell in the bathroom was really bad. To be honest though, that smell is quite present in many other areas in Old Lisbon. Our second place that we stayed (in Alfama) had the same issue. That said, I really liked the Alfama area. Again, the Mouraria Lisboa Hotel was overall pleasant with nice staff and great breakfast. Hope this helps and doesn't sound too negative. Enjoy Lisbon!

The hotel was very nice for the area. Rooms were very small but nice. The room we were given smelt slightly of cigarette smoke. The area is a bit rough overall but once you are used to it, there are actually some good dining options, etc.

Cute hotel in a great location
Cute hotel right where all the sites are. Can walk to almost everything from the hotel. The rooms are very minimalist...ie no coffee, no fridge, etc. And the "city view" was literally a closed in corner of the building. But the service was great. We asked for some ice for our drinks and were given a wine pail full of ice with 2 wine glasses. The breakfast was really good too.

Hidden is a narrow street, the property is bright and clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The location is perfect, everything is very walkable - churches, castle, town. No parking nearby, so drop your bags first, then drive to the local underground garage to park.

Not quite as advertised
Sometimes it's the little things. Like having checked before hand that if I pay for a "superior room", I'll at least have a coffee machine in the room as stated on their website. Upon getting there, being told "the web designer must have made a mistake" because there was no coffee machine in the smaller-than-i-expected room and the one in the lobby wasn't free, or going down into the breakfast area on another level within the given breakfast hours. Maybe not a big deal to some but a hassle to someone like me who gets constipated while traveling, haha, with a quiet coffee in my room as the cure. Aside from that, while the room was quite small for something they call superior, it was very very very clean which is super appreciated. Kudos to the custodial staff!

We had a lovely stay at Mouraria! The rooms were very nice and the service was great. We liked that it was walkable to the main downtown Lisbon areas. However, I would be careful if you are a lone traveler since we felt a little unsafe in the surrounding area.

While it is in an unusual location, up a narrow side street, and you have to talk from a parking garage to get to it, the hotel itself was excellent. Breakfast had a nice selection, everything was clean, staff was very helpful. Rooms are small, but if you just need a clean comfortable place to sleep, it is perfect.

The hotel was new and clean , the 2pm check in time was a positive, breakfast was very nice. The room was small but cute, as Lisbon is the capital hotels seemed expensive in this area, so this hotel seemed more affordable with the trade off being the size of the room. It was easy to get to the Castelo de Jorge from the hotel, and to the main down town shopping area. We liked this hotel.
