I wasn’t expecting the tiny room. There wasn’t even enough space to open my suitcase except for the bed. The bed had no top sheet, only a very heavy and uncomfortable comforter. There was also some sort of construction going on and I had specifically booked a room so I’d be able to nap due to jet lag and I was unable to. The lockers that you were supposed to hang your clothes in only had 3 hangers. Won’t be back.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The check in went smooth with the check-in. And the breakfast service was very good. The staff paid extra attention to my food intolerance which was very helpful and kind. 🙏. Room was good and has all you need. . Only comment would be that the pillows are bit thin. For the rest highly recommended!

Its a cute trendy hotel that has all the necessary amenities for a couple of days in Hasselt City. I advice it only if you are traveling solo, even if in double rooms, cuz they are too small and lack privacy. I stayed at room 109. Pros: - Great Location in Hasselt, not far from station and the main shopping square - Trendy decor and hip - The shower pressure is great - Prices are affordable Cons: - They accidentally gave my room key to another guest that opened the room on me half an hour after I checked in to the room. They said they forgot the room is occupied by me cuz I got an early check in. That gave me a sense of insecurity during my stay. - Room lacks privacy if two people. No barrier between toilet and bedroom except a curtain. - The shower has no enough floor height, so after shower water will spill into the floor even if curtain closed. So annoying. - No phone to call reception in the room - No toiletries provided except two tiny bar of soaps - No welcoming amenities even water bottle.

Wonderful, trendy, unique hotel with a great vibe
Wonderful, trendy, unique hotel with a great vibe in a safe phenomenal location. I was in Belgium for the BMX WorldChampionship. A friend sent the link for the YUP so booked without researching. It isn’t as close to the BMX track as I would have liked but I am so glad I booked it. The rooms are so unique. The cabin was comfy and I slept well. The shower was roomy enough, clean and had good water pressure. The staff was friendly, helpful, willing converse in English and eager to assist. There is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel that serves exquisite lasagne. I paid a small fee for the breakfast buffet which was well worth it. The wide variety included bacon, eggs and pancakes. An iron, ironing board and refrigerator in each room would elevate the YUP to my only hotel in Hasselt to book list.

The hotel was conveniently located for me to attend an event hence my 5 day stay at Yup hotel, Hasselt. There were a few mishaps - sink blocked & had to change room on arrival, no soap or bath math at times .. - which l overlooked though one has to make request at reception each time as there's no telephone. The bed was comfy & the room is tight but it's an open toilet/shower so l'm glad l don't have to share. It's moderately clean and quiet till the last night when l was woken up by noises outside and rooms nearby. The real let down was on the last day when l'd asked for a hot glass of hot water again in the evening (as I've been ill prior to my trip here). The girl serving me wasn't impressed as she had a frown on her face. She didn't give me a new glass but washed the one l'd use and handed it to me glumly without looking at me. While l was waiting, a hotel guest passed by & she greeted the guest with a smile. When l informed reception on checking-out the next day that l felt uncomfortable how l was treated that night, a senior position girl came forward & lapped on excuses that it could be busy (the restaurant was quiet & the girl was chatting in the kitchen). The former said that there were only 3/4 glasses in the hotel hence to reuse the glass. She was haughty and contemptuous, raising her voice,"...Well she cleaned the glass didn't she?". Not once did she address the problem on how to treat customer equally and not make others feel bad/uncomfortable.

For price that was charged comfort was ok elevator was under repair so not easy way to get luggage up and down other then stairs as they only have one elevator to is you need accessibility there was none at all. Room kept getting mosquitoes and bugs because they kept back hotel dirt open all day and night and they would get into hallways and rooms. They don’t work with Expedia well to highlight city tax and Expedia show booking 1 person for the room and they show 2 people staying and charged me for 2 people when there was only me and advised nothing they could do

Although the room was spotlessly clean, it was very small and the toilet area was separated from the bed by only a curtain. The bed was a reasonable size and was comfortable however it was like the bottom tier of a bunk bed that had been recessed into a wall. Even though the hotel was above (and part of) an Italian restaurant they were only able to provide food that was on their restaurant menu. This resulted in them being unable to provide me with a simple sandwich to take up to my room. Overall the room was a bit quirky and I was happy to stay there for the two nights that I had booked but I would not have wanted to stay longer.

Yup Hotel, not as hip as wexpected
The rooms are very small, the air-conditioning makes a lot of noice (Even when its not turned on) and there was no cold water, the water was extremely hot in the shower, no possibility to turn it cold. Be careful with Tourist tax, its being added on arrival. Apparently its €23 for 2 days per person. Which strikes me quite a lot.

Came for business, cannot fault this hotel for the price, it certainly is different, if I would change anything it would be to remove the blackout shower screens, it gets dark in there when you close the curtain even with lights on, also maybe add tea coffee facilities

Awful experience at yup hotel was different hotel
Hotel was under refurbishment and had not been informed of this, no food or drink available not even water,wet paint toxic smells and dust wires hanging everywhere. Rooms were tiny open plan toilet! Was told by staff you could park on streets around hotel as no parking to find i woke up on the day i was to leave and my car had been towed away along with a number of other guests 200 euros to retrieve my car! Not a happy experience have written to complain to hotel to seek some compensation yet to have a reply!!
