Very nice hotel. Rooms very luxurious and come with deep bathtub, small fridge, safe and coffee machine. Takes a while for the hot water to heat up.

Stunning hotel, a very short walk to the old town. Our room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Only one criticism - the lighting in the bathroom was seriously inadequate. We will definitely return!

Not a 5*. No one helped with bags at the door. Parking was full so we had to drive around for over an hour to find anything. Building site next to our bedroom, nowhere near 5* experience.

Reasonable hotel within walking distance of the centre of Lille. The cooked element of the buffet breakfast was cold (beans, scrambled eggs etc) which was disappointing.

Excellent service
From entering the property the quality of the service from the staff was noticeable. The room was comfortable and spacious, the food was delicious and I will be returning to this hotel for a holiday to have some time to enjoy the spa and relaxing atmosphere further.

Mediocre for 5*
No assistance in Spa to know what to fo with covid restrictions. Shower over over bath inadequate. No price sheets for mini bar or information in room. Very small room. Expected more for 5*. Not happy about €100 deposit being deducted and not immediately refunded. Fantastic venue and facilaties.

Lovely property but could do better.
The property is great but slightly underwhelmed with the facilities in the room and breakfast. A kettle in the wardrobe with instance coffee and UHT cream is not in-keeping with your second most premium room- I would expect a coffee machine with it's own area, biscuits etc... The breakfast really was disappointing and had we of know we would have chosen a room without breakfast option. The size of the buffet and variety in relation to the hotel is miles apart... we also had undercooked sausages... not good at all

Beautiful though something is lacking.
While it is a beautiful building the hotel itself does not live up to his potential. While there was nothing glaringly wrong with the hotel it was just not what you would expect from a high quality hotel. The staff was not rude though they were not overly helpful. They took the bags to the room, though when we got to stairs, they said we needed to carry them. I do not mind taking my bags at all, though if you are going to take the bags to the room, then take them all the way. Otherwise do not pseudo-take the bags to the room. The room was spacious and quiet, which we appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. The decor of the room was simple, well kept though old. We have stayed in this hotel twice and both time because there are not a lot of good hotels in Lille. It is a bit off from the center of the city though no much. Next time we will try another hotel. We would recommend that you try the hotel, though each time we were left feeling a little disappointed.

We had a truly memorable stay in this historic hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful from the moment we checked in. I would recommend this hotel very very highly.

wonderful location - almost a living museum. Rooms are a bit disappointing for a 5*. No hand washing possibility in the toilet. Bathroom at the opposite of the room. No airconditionning - a simple and noisy portable fan instead. The "estaminet" that is part of the hotel is very nice

Unexpected Guests in our Room!
Nice hotel with nice spa and facilities. We were there only one night. We were awakened at 4am by the sound of mice going through our luggage! Not a nice experience! It sort of spoiled our stay at an otherwise lovely hotel.

Although the hotel was very clean and friendly. It was shameful to see that they advertise the swimming pool as part of the facilities but fail to mention that it costs €25 per day to use and then once in it was cold? Car parking was then charged at €30 for 1 night stay. Would not recommend to any others and to keep looking for another luxury hotel in Lille.

Nice hotel but with some annoyances
We had a nice stay in this hotel. Lille is lovely and I'd highly recommend a visit. The hotel was nice. The standard room was a little small but it was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and stylish bathroom. The spa and swimming pool are modern and luxurious but small. There were two annoyances that detracted from the overall experience. On arrival they informed us there was an extra charge for the spa. This was not detailed anywhere and is somewhat ridiculous for a hotel of this standard. On checking out, they waived the fee after some discussion. There is free WiFi advertised, but on connecting it becomes clear that the free WiFi is speed limited and suitable for "webmail" only. You have to pay extra for a decent connection. Again this is ridiculous for a hotel of this standard. In summary, it's a lovely hotel but their "Ryanair" approach to charging is annoying. I probably would not recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful hotel close to town and with an incredible view from every room! The staff was so kind to my very large dog (Saint Bernard) and really went above and beyond to make sure that both me and my dog were happy. I’d love to stay here again.

Hotel of great historic interest.
Lille itself is a jumping off point for other points of interest like the Battlefields tour etc. It's not the prettiest town in Northern France but this hotel is interesting with decent facilities.

The room was spot on and the staff were very helpful. Location can’t be beat and parking is free on the street between 7pm and 9 a.m. Felt it was very good value for money.

Stylish characterful hotel but poor value catering
Attractive & comfortable hotel with nice pool but spoiled by a ridiculously overpriced bar. (14Euros for two small iced peach teas! 50 E for an ordinary bottle of Rose wine) Staff are very helpful but can come across as uncoordinated and disorganised - especially in the breakfast service. No English language TV channels or pay to view movies available.
