This is our second time staying at Ellis Island. It is a great alternative to staying on the strip and all the hectic conditions. It’s close enough to walk to the strip, but you have far enough a way to be comfortable and quiet enough. We noticed a refurbished the casino area and the ground floor rooms. They’re clean and comfortable and more modern. They are doing some construction there which made things a little inconvenient, but I’m sure it will benefit Ron once it is finished. The lobby looks like a waiting line instead of a lobby. I understand this is to accommodate large amounts of people checking in, but it is not inviting at all , the lobby should be your first impression of an establishment and your lobby is basically awful.

Convenient to the Strip, but much less expensive. Budget interiors and lumpy pillows, but didn't spend much time in the room at all.

We had employees staying here for an event, and many of our people stated feeling unsafe and sketchy type of area. Said many of the men there were living at the hotel, and felt unsafe. Older property, could tell in the styling, and overall cleanliness. Appreciated free parking, and close proximity, but will not be staying there again.

I had a rough night and couldn’t sleep at all at a loud hotel downtown at 6 o’clock in the morning. I made a reservation to stay at Ellis Island when I got there the front desk lady was extremely nice. The room was sufficient and quiet I was able to get a four hour nap in, and then go over and enjoy the small casino connected to the property. Even at the casino the pit boss was extremely nice and went out of his way to make sure me and my friends were taking care of highly recommend and it’s an easy walk. , and then go over and enjoy the small casino connected to the property. We chose the Ellis Island Hotel for its close proximity to the airport. The room was small, but clean.
There are a few dining options... we chose the bbq when we arrived. Ribs fell off the bones. Quite yummy!
The Front Yard was very good for breakfast and lunch.
We plan to return soon.

When we arrived, the TV did not work. They had to send maintenance up to fix it. We had no hot water for showers or in the sink. The pool looked operational, but it was locked off with a chain and padlock. Not quite what we expected.

TV didn’t work. Had to call to have someone fix it.
Wasn’t told you have to ask for your room to be cleaned.
Had to go to front desk to get clean towels.
Pool and hot tub locked.
Difficulty working safe. Had to get on hands and knees with flashlight to see instructions.
You get what you pay for.
