Independent, Lancaster Hotels

No pool, but thats not what we needed. Older hotel, but very very clean. Staff very nice. If you're spending time in Lancaster area and just need a clean place to sleep and bathe, this works.

With the low price, I decided to book the hotel based on other recommendations on Expedia and my wife and I were not disappointed. It is settled in a nice green area and it was very quiet. The room with two Queen beds was large, and the room and bathroom were clean and kept up well. The beds were comfortable. A husband/wife team run the hotel and they were personable as was a young Asian girl they had working there as well. Expedia listed this as serving hot breakfasts, but a sign in the lobby said "Continental" breakfast which was a choice of two cold cereals or hot oatmeal. Juice, coffee, donuts,bagels etc. were available. For the price in that area this is definitely a best buy. I'm a retired Purchasing Agent from a Fortune 100 company and recognize a good bargain when I find one.

Simple small comfortable inn I like small places not too large

We had a great stay. Immaculate, comfortable, staff was very, very friendly and a wealth of info for places to eat and attractions. When we needed an ironing board, it was brought over to us instantly. Coffee and a small breakfast were provided for us. We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights and we will go back there. Very helpful staff. The 3 other families that stayed with us in other rooms were as delighted with their stay as we were. Highly recommended!

We had a great time in the area. There was plenty to do. We enjoyed relaxing in front of the motel and watching the Amish go by.

We stayed at the Travelers Rest Motel April 28 - May1 2014. The staff was very friendly especially Linda who was very informative about everthing in the area. She would always greet us in the morning with a smile and a good morning. We are looking forward to returning in the fall. This is the only Motel we will stay in when visiting Pennsylvannia. We always feel at home here. Great place and I hope they never change.

We got a 1King room via Expedia.com for $74. When we got to our room it was a 2 Room suite and it was great. This is a really nice Hotel and the staff were very nice too.
