Clean and comfortable in an excellent location for a beautiful stroll through the park to the historic part of Santiago de Compostela Very helpful staff . Excellent breakfast No frills but it’s very reasonably priced. It’s perfect to explore the city .

When we arrived my husband became very ill, possibly related to what he ate earlier somewhere else. The gentleman at reception was amazing. So helpful !! Making a difficult situation very manageable. Thank you so much.

Highly recommended for any Camino pilgrims looking for a nice room after your pilgrimage. Antonio at the front desk was the BEST! Good continental breakfast. Only negative was the size of the shower. After walking the Camino, it was difficult to move around the tiny space. But everything else was wonderful

warmly recommended!
It is a best location just a 5 min walk away from the cathedral and surrounded by all the nice and affordable eateries. Rooms are spacious. Everything clean. The staff go out of their ways to accommodate your needs. Definitely a great stay!

Great hotel to unwind after Camino
Hotel staff make this place fantastic. Front desk staff very helpful and professional. Gave me advice on where to shop (After Camino I wanted to pick up a few items for touring around), froze my gel packs for me, gave me an umbrella. One evening when wifi not at best in my room I sat in downstairs lounge with glass of vino provided gratis. I also like the quiet calm ambience of this hotel... a good environment from transitioning from Camino and the hustle and bustle of Santiago. I’ll be back.

Fantastic, family run hotel in the City
What a fantastic little gem right in the heart of Santiago. There is nothing too much trouble for the staff in the Herradura. Gorgeous breakfast at a time that suits. My mum and I stayed for 3 days whilst walking parts of the Camino. Nice dark rooms and peaceful atmosphere! We will be back!

Friendly staff and good location
Very well managed hotel in a convenient location, in walking distance to major sights and Restaurants. Very friendly staff, from owner to receptionists. We arrived after midnight due to flight delay and were welcomed by their reception staff who immediately offered to take our luggage to our rooms for us so we can shoot for the last restaurants still open. Hotel was generally quiet but of course during a weekend there were the fun living Spaniards revelers throughout the night drinking and singing. Breakfast was sumptuous and very reasonably priced. We like the hotels interiors, very simple but elegant, using quality material. All in all, we were very happy and will stay here again if we come back to Santiago de Compostela.

Nice little hotel.
i had a very enjoyable 3 nights stay at this hotel. Check in was quick and efficient. The gentleman on the reception was polite and very helpful when I needed some assistance and even took my luggage to my room. My room was on the 1st floor with views of a back road. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot, powerful and amazing after a long day's walk. The wifi is free and excellent. The hotel is well situated for easy access to the Cathedral which was a 10 min walk. There are lots of shops and restaurants within a 10 mins walk. The only negative about this hotel is their lift. It can only accommodate 2 people at one time. I would stay at this hotel again if I came back to Santiago de Compostela.

An excellent small hotel.
La Herradura is excellent in every respect. It is within an easy walk of the historic center of Santiago de Compostela and not far from the train station (we used a taxi). At the time of our stay, there were three levels of desayuno (breakfast) from coffee and pastries to coffee, pastries, cheese and meat and yogurt and orange juice. Price varied but was quite reasonable for each. The staff were invariably helpful and multi-lingual, able to answer any question in our rather limited Spanish or my wife's English.

A lovely little hotel with few rooms that are well maintained and perfectly clean. The staff are lovely and breakfast very nice too. We wondered how noisy it would be but with a double glazed balcony, double glazed doors and thick wooden shutters it was almost silent and so dark, perfect!

Nice base for this town
Close to the old town without the push and shove of the old town centres. Staff were helpful, friendly and a major asset to our stay. They went beyond the call of hotel staff. They made our three night stay most comfortable and relaxing. Room was quiet and well sized. We would come back.

Friendly and Professional
The staff in the hotel gave a very friendly welcome and were very keen to help in any way. The acknowledgement of gluten intolerance and then availability of gluten free bread at breakfast was unexpected as many good establishments do not recognise this as an issue. Although there is no parking on site the staff are very happy and willing to take and collect your car from the very near underground car park. The staff, hotel appearance and facilities and location make this an absolute gem. I think the service and attitude given by the staff is 5 star.

Hotel was not particularly far from everything but could be closer to the cathedral area. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. Hot air came out of the vents when we turned on the ac, guess they felt the season was still too cool.

We loved this hotel!
We were in Spain for two weeks and this was by far our favorite hotel! The service and staff were exceptional. The location was truly convenient to everything we wanted. The room and bathroom were not big, but were certainly adequate and spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay there again.
