Nice place to crash with free breakfast
I should say that if you are going to this hotel and expect a luxury service - please don't do it. It's not up to "western" standards and all that. But at the same time - it's a comfy hotel, with breakfast included, moderately clean - works out if you plan to stay for a few night - not a problem. Yes, it's a bit further away from center, but at the same time you can find that it's very peaceful and quiet there.

It was very hot our room was on the 1st floor the parking lot heavy traffic we did not feel safe keeping the windows open all night. We came homr one night at 10pm there was loud group of young men running around with no shirt. My roommate had a fall i asked for ice was told they don have a freezer.

Good price quite close to the center and very nice staff. Basic room basic breakfast but what more you want if you out and about and sleep there only.

At first disappointing because of the bad exterior and interior condition, but in the end this was the only problem. Otherwise, the service is fair, the cleanliness ok and the breakfast very good for a budget hotel.

Had to change our tiny room as the sockets hung out of the wall & there was bare wires on the lamp No smoke detectors just back plates. Couldnt stand in front of the loo as the sink overhang it New room was bigger but had the same socket problem but a bigger bathroom with a broken shower head & we had to lock the door just to keep it shut Didnt see a cleaner for the 4 days we were there The beds were rock hard & the curtains didnt cover thevwindow gap The milk at breakfast was warm & tea & coffee were not No kettle/tv or ac

Don't go there!
The hotel isn't a hotel it's an old hospital and is used for students and residents living there, the bed rooms are dirty, the beds was disgusting and flee infested, the launderer was old and in very bad condition, the bathrooms was dirty and broken, the overall hotel was in very bad condition, the windows was broken and bordered up. The smell was overwhelming coming from the rooms around the building, the only good thing about it was the Wi-fi.

The room wasnt good at my first stay. There was no air-con and windows. Then the next day the staff changed the room for me which was very fine. Overall feeling was good!

Old but adequate
Okay for what I paid, but it's really showing it's age, it's like stepping back in time to the 70's complete with Communist style furniture and decor. Staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful, and checking in and out were very no-nonsense, but the inclusive breakfast is definitely straight out of the Stalin era. I only wanted somewhere cheap to dump my kit as I was out and about in Krakow most of the time so it was fine for me, very basic but clean and tidy. However if you are planning a Romantic weekend where the hotel is an integral part of the experience you should probably go a bit more upmarket because your missus won't be impressed if you bring her here! About a 15 minute journey from the city centre, but the tram (route 12) stops right outside the front door. Big 24 hour Tescos next door.

It's what u expect. I went with a group of mates, we needed something cheap at the end of the day. For the price this is excellent, the rooms wer fine, location is great as there is a tram service outside that takes u to the centre for next to nothing. There is a tesco round the corner which is great. Staff wer very helpful and even made us a brew when we returned from a night out. Probably not for women, but we enjoyed our stay very much. Krakow is also a great place and the people wer friendly

Dirty hotel
The room was dirty, tv not working, I had a flea on my bed as well! Girl at the reception was nice and lady who was serving breakfast as well. I would never stay there again, it wasnt pleasant... The hotel was not as described on the website!! The place looks like its falling apart where on pictures looked quite ok.... Do not recommend!

Poor Value for Money
Only two good things about this hotel.1) The friendly and helpful staff - despite their dingy workplace, and 2) the proximity to Tesco (next door)- very useful for stocking up on all essentials including electronic,cellphone etc requirements. The hotel is very big and caters a lot for student groups who were noisy throughout the night. My window didn't even shut properly which was a bit of a concern although it couldn't (supposedly) be reached by ground. My room stunk of stale cigarette smoke, but on the plus side, had a great shower. I relocated after 2 nights (original plan) and got ten times better value for money from a similarly priced hotel. I did walk to the centre of town but it was a reasonable hour long hike. The free WiFi internet was the other good feature (common in hotels across Poland). i'm not very fussy, but this hotel was not really up to scratch.

True 1 star.. or maybe a bit less...
The problem with this hotel is its cleanliness. It just wasn't clean. Having said that, neither was it disgusting! The carpets in our room were dirty and it appeared that no one had cleaned underneath the beds in a long time. However, the bathroom had been remodeled and was very clean. The beds were very basic and hard, but the sheets were clean. The windows would not open and our south-facing room was hot on even a mild day. The outside of the Hotel was perhaps the most outrageous. The place looked abandoned! Weeds were growing everywhere and the lighted hotel sign was only partially lit. The old and stained window shades and siding give the place a solidly dingy appearance! Having said all this, the hotel was less expensive than others, there was free parking and, as noted, the bathroom was clean and very functional. Our stay was acceptable. Plus, it was next to a Tesco were we purchased supplies. It would be a difficult and distant walk to the city center. But, there was a tram stop next to the hotel which traveled directly downtown. This place is good for backpackers and other travels who are not picky and just need a cheap place to lay their head. It seemed safe and was not gross. But I really wouldn't recommend it for other travelers.

Хуже некуда. Из щелей окна дуло и поэтому было холодно. Все такое допотопное и ломанное. Может дали такой ужасный номер потому что я была с собаками.

Very very low low budget
Strange place when arriving at night, no sign and GPS mark the back entrance to the hotel, not good to see from the street Added breakfast but the concierge at night did not mention that the breakfast is a bag with 2 sandwiches- 1 Appel - 1 bottle of water and some candy no coffee no tea no hot chocolate, maybe next time mention that the breakfast is to go and not at the premises Room very old, smelly and the windows very thin during the night to much noise from the street and very cold for me 6 plus and the heating system did not work Good shower and internet connection but very hard bed and almost on the floor they should changed to a Japanese hotel then it would make sense to have a Tatami on the floor I know for the price it is a low budget but they could make something out of it

Hotel max na jedną noc.
Śniadanie za 17 zł - w suche bułki z wędlina i serem, brak jakikolwiek warzyw.do ich zjedzenia potrzeba conajmniej 0.5 litra wody, ale jest dodawana do śniadania. Jabłko i Lion. Tak skrzypiącego łóżka jeszcze nie widziałem. Niewygodne. Okna brudne.łazienka czysta z dobra wentylacja.obsługa miła.

Nie dla estetów. Tani przystanek w podróży.
Hotel niskiego standardu, stary i zaniedbany, ale jak na bardzo tani nocleg na krótki przystanek po podróży jest wystarczający. Różni się od pobytu w hostelu tym, że można tanio wynając pokój z prywatną łazienką. Łazienka wysprzątana, czysta, jest mydło, jest ręcznik - na nogi, czy ręce dodatkowo może się przydać, ale raczej własny ręcznik polecam zabrać. Minusem łazienki były rozpadające się segmentowe drzwi do kabiny prysznicowej, przez co trudno było się zasunąć i nie zalać łazienki. Pościel mogłaby być ładniejsza, bo szarobiała zawsze będzie dawać wrażenie zużytej, poszarzałej, ale była czysta, więc no spać i nie narzekać. Pobyt wystarcza żeby zaspokoić potrzeby bezstresowego umycia się i wyspania po podróży. Ale wrażenia estetyczne na pewno będą niezaspokojone, no bo wszystkie meble, wykładzina, firanki są naznaczone czasem.

Hotel baaardzo stary. Pokój malutki ale czysty. Obsługa sympatyczna. Z powodu Covida śniadanie do pokoju w formie: 2x kanapka, jabłko, batonik, woda oraz na recepcji Pani robi smaczną kawkę z ekspresu. Największy minus za strasznie skrzypiące łóżka. Nie da się poruszyć bez narobienia hałasu który stawiał na nogi każdego. Ale cena niziutka, także jeśli nie zależy ci na luksusie to polecam. Można zaoszczędzić na inne przyjemności ;)

La struttura è un po’ vecchiotta, ma la pulizia viene svolta Quotidianamente e la moquette disinfettata..l’ambiente ed caldo al punto giusto e le camere spaziose..il nostro bagno era stato ristrutturato recentemente..la colazione più salata che dolce..il mio giudizio è soddisfacente..leggendo le recensioni mi aspettavo molto peggio e invece sono rimasta più che soddisfatta..il personale cordialissimo, e con le linee del tra 18 e 52, in 5 minuti raggiungi in centro di Cracovia..città bellissima! Che dire..smentisco categoricamente ogni critica negativa e penso proprio che se dovessi ritornare a fare un visita Cracovia tornerei e consiglierei l’hotel Start..vecchiotto, ma pulito tranquillo e comodo per gli spostamenti e per quello che si paga offre molto..chi avesse molte pretese cambi albergo non è ovviamente un 4 stelle, ma le sue due stelle sono anche tre per ciò che mi riguarda..l’ideale per che vuole spendere una cifra moderata e godersi una bella vacanza...consigliato!!!!

Jest ksero! Jest przystanek tramwajowy, i to "pod nosem"! Mega wygoda, choć lepiej chyba nie spać przy otwartym oknie ;) Śniadania szwedzki stół, codziennie taki sam ale zawsze jest wybór ;) Dzięki uprzejmości pana recepcjonisty mogłem zostawić bagaż w szatni nawet po upłynięciu ostatniej doby hotelowej, na którą dokonałem rezerwacji, i jeszcze za to nie płacić. To miłe :) Jedynie pokój malutki, ale czego się spodziewać po 2 gwiazdkach? Aha, i okna stare. Zasięg Wi-Fi strasznie się ciął (a fakt dostępności kilku różnych sieci pod nazwami START, START12, START13, START15 itp. nie pomaga). Ale na dachu są BTSy/stacje Node-B, więc zasięg przynajmniej niektórych sieci komórkowych jest tu perfekt. Ogólnie spoko, więcej plusów niż minusów :)
