Okay for a short stay.
The hotel is slightly outdated. Instead of a double bed that we paid for, there were 2 twin beds pushed together and overlapped with 2 single sheets. The mattress was quite hard for our liking. At night there was no cold water running from the tap, hot water only. We were happy that there was a free parking lot on site. Service was fast and good.

Excellent, helpful staff. I’m traveling with a big dog and the staff was very accommodating. Nice breakfast buffet. Restaurant food very good. Lobby is a bit dull and uninviting.

Nice hotel in a convenient location
Hotel Apis is a nice hotel set several miles outside the centre of Krakow. The rooms were modern and spacious, clean and functional. You don’t get all the mod-cons of modern chain hotels, however the place had a modern feel and everything was in its place. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful with queries on taxis, directions etc. Check in and out was a breeze. The only minor negative was location. The exact location meant a cheaper rate per night, and getting to town was so simple it wasn’t an issue. However given proximity to several main roads some parts of the hotel seemed susceptible to noise. I was in a room at the end of the corridor which only seemed to increase the noise penetration. For some deep sleepers the level of noise (which was cars passing and a train line nearby) wouldn’t be an issue, however personally this meant a disturbed nights sleep. I would definitely stay here again but ask for a room in a specific portion of the hotel.

Nice hotel
Nice clean hotel . Service was great except for one night when they ran out of beer in the 24 hour bar . The food was amazing . I had the best steak I'd ever eaten and it only cost £11 . You can catch a bus just around the corner for 50p and it goes into the centre of town . One tip I would give is don't use the hotel excursions , get a cab to the places you want to see. It's much cheaper that way

Clean, modern, friendly staff, 15 mins to center
The hotel is located a 15 minute bus ride from the train station and beginning of old town. The bus stop is located a block away and cost less than $1 for a ride. The hotel was very clean, modern, and the staff was very professional and friendly. Wifi speed was good. Convenience store located next door for snacks, drinks etc. The staff held our bags both when arriving and leaving (8am and 9pm) and allowed us to use the bathroom and changing rooms to change for our train ride back. Overall nothing bad to say about this place, would stay again!

Great place, great price, big rooms, perfect.
My family of three stayed here for 4 nights for family vacation. Room was huge, especially by European standards. Very clean, staff were excellent and helpful, full breakfast was great too. It's about 5-10 minutes by taxi from the main square, but cab-fare in Krakow is dirt cheap, so that was a non-issue for us. Would definitely stay there again.

Great breakfast, clean hotel. Comfortable.
We are a family of 5 (3 children age 11-14-15). It was nice to book a room that had 3 single beds for the children and a bed for the parents. Room was not super cooled, air-conditioned but luckily it was not sweltering outside. Breakfast was reliable and consistent each day. A nice perk was the free parking. Hotel clerk (Tomasz) has excellent English and most accommodating with our requests for directions and travel advice. He has a keen sense of humor too.

Nice hotel outside of city center
I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at Hotel Apis. From the staff to the room, each day was great! I was helped from start to finish to make my stay in Krakow perfect. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great Hotel
Although this hotel was a little bit out of the way for sight seeing at the city center, it was well worth the 20zl taxi expense. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. They put our family of 4 in a great room. It had two twins in one room and a separate room with twins pushed together. The WiFi was good. The resturant food for dinner was delicious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. Absolutely no complaints!

One night in the hotel located very close to the main road. Fortunately it was a saturday night. Hotel a little bit old fashioned, breakfast could be definitely better (as for polish standards). Service good in a reception, definitely worse in a restaurant. Room clean.

Good choice for those, who travel by car
The hotel is conveniently located for thode, who travel by car, and easy to find. The hotel's parking lot isn't big, but I always was able to find a free space for my car. The breakfast was even better than in many **** hotels. But since the hotel is located near the highway, it was a litle bit noisy in the morning.

Nice hotel, let down by staff.
Nice hotel, shame that use of the fitness facilities cost extra, this was one of the reasons we chose this hotel (but at no time does it state this additional cost on the Apis website), so we never used it. Corridor was noisy due to families letting their children use it as a playground, I phoned the front desk who said it would be dealt with immediately...it never was. Breakfast was okay, but most days we would find no clean tables. The waiters were eager to clear and reset for dinner, but not to put out a fresh breakfast setting. I indicated to a waiter that there was nowhere clean for us to sit, he shrugged and dissapeared into the kitchen, leaving us to scavenge leftover clean cutlery & crockery from used place settings. I have worked in hotels for many years and never would I let a guest sit at a dirty table.

The hotel staff were friendly and polite, the room was basic but comfortable and the breakfast was ok. The location of the hotel was a short taxi ride away fom the city centre although the hotel was on a bus route.

We spent our first four nights in Poland here. Got there late, around 10:00 pm, due to getting lost. Lights were out. Restaurant closed. But Hotel was staffed in reception, so no problem getting to our rooms. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful to these non polish speaking tourists. They spoke English and talked to us, until we understood. Very patient which made it easier to get acclimated to Poland. I had trouble with my cell phone, the reception guy, was extremely helpful, had me bring the phone to the front desk and his suggestions worked! He was our "go to" guy. I didn't get his name, shame on me. We missed him when we left. Location was on a busy street. Had our own car, free parking was important. Staff gave good directions. We did buy a navagayion (gps) system, which really saved us. Will never travel again without one. I would stay there again. Clean, great breakfast included, menu otherwise was reasonably priced...just a busy street, took a taxi to old town square, $35pln. Worth every cent. We did't plan on not being able to find a laundromat, anywhere, so cleaning a weeks worth of clothes was pricey. enjoy Poland, was our trip of a lifetime.

Made a reservation for a double room and put in request for one double bed. Was given two singles. When inquired at the front desk, was told that was what the reservation was made for and no accomodation was made to meet our request for the double. Towels in bathroom were frayed. Air conditioning didn't work. This was probably a nice hotel at one point, but needs to be brought back up to date. Won't stay again when in Krakow.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was huge, the staff very helpful, and the buffet breakfast fantastic. It was in a good area and not far from a main hwy. I would definitly stay here again and would recommend to anyone who likes quality and alot of room.

The Apis hits all the right spots as a hotel - cleanliness, comfort, warm and cosy, secure and a good breakfast. For the price it is fantastic. The only minor gripe is its location - about two miles from the old town. This would not be a problem to me if the bus service was more frequent - and door to door. Unfortunately the stop to catch the bus is rather inconveniently located to the north of Krakow's main railway station - itself a ten minute walk from the centre. Not a big problem, but does become tedious after a day or two. Putting this aside however the Apis is thoroughly recommended. Would happliy stay there again.

Hotel Apis, Krakow - clean and modern
Hotel Apis is out of the city centre, but there is a bus stop 200 metres away, and the bus journey to the centre takes approx 15 mins. The last bus home is at 11pm, but the taxis are reasonable (get a metered one though) The hotel has modern fixtures and fittings in the public areas, a good sauna (for an extra charge) and a small gym. Although the hotel is on a busy road, traffic noise was not a problem in the room. Each room has a TV and free wi-fi. The bathrooms were very clean, but the shower head position was not adjustable so either the jet took your head off, or you had to hold it in your hand, which made washing difficult. The beds were fairly comfortable, although my sheet had a small hole in it. One criticism - being tall, I requested a double bed on booking, but was given a room with two singles. When I asked if I could change the room to one with a double bed the male receptionist said there were no double beds in the hotel. However, another member of our group, who also requested the same type of room, had a large double bed in a larger room with a settee. The receptionists varied in their customer service skills. One of them had difficulty understanding English. Breakfast was OK, but the hot food (scrambled egg, sausage) was brought out in miniscule containers, and ran out almost as soon as they had been put on the buffet. There was a good choice of cold food and fruit, and a wide variety of teas. All the juices, however, were sweetened. Service lasted until 11 am, which suited the late sleepers in our group.

Modern Hotel
Liked the hotel it is a fairly long walk to old town Krakow. If you are not reasonably fit you will need to take a bus or taxi. I would stay here again.

Great place if you visit Krarow by car
It is nice small hotel. Location is a bit away from Old Town but as we rented car it was OK with us. Parking is free of charge so the wi-fi. Breakfast was fine. Everything is nothing special but quite good. Staff was helpful. Before we go we needed a booking confirmation sent by fax to Polish embassy for visa purposes. Two other places we tried to book refused it because we booked through Expedia not directly with properties while Apis staff cooperated and did us a favor faxing the confirmation we needed.

Bra boende på väg genom Krakow
Reste genom Europa och övernattade i Krakow. Läget för hotellet var bra för vår resväg, barnvänligt, fint och stort rum. Underbar middag på kvällen! Gott kaffe på frukost!
