What really defines this hotel is the excellent calibre of staff. Whether bar staff, reception, restaurant or housekeeping all were unfailingly courteous, charming and helpful, with great sense of humour too! The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well presented, food in all restaurants is great, though the buffet format does get a bit repetitive, entertainment is geared towards the mainly German clientele, only negative for me was the amount of smokers. With regard to the rooms, I would think a refurb is required as the decor and furniture is rather tired and on the verge of shabby - really didn't bother us too much as the pools and outdoor space was fantastic and the beach just fabulous. We would certainly return without hesitation.
We had a lovely week here the reception staff were extremely helpful in overcoming a difficult situation with regard to having a walk in shower for an elderly lady travelling with us we can't thank them enough. The bar staff and restaurant staff were all lovely Plenty of choice of lovely food. The animation team work extremely hard and do a wonderful job. Overall the Hotel does all it can to make the holiday very enjoyable. The best rooms are the pool suites and the seafront suites.
Arrived at 23.45 and greeted with cocktails on arrival by the manager, tour of the hotel/facilities. Cases were taken to the room, a small food platter was laid on. All staff were friendly/helpful (nothing too much trouble). Child free zone (a big plus!), a very pleasing 4 star hotel (definately not a 5 or 6 as advertised on some sites) but a good experience overall. Food excellent,(breakfasts are excellent....kept us going until at least mid afternoon) cleanliness in general excellent, room was a little below a 4 star (but nothing to moan about), Tip: Do not book a taxi through the hotel (theres always plenty of taxis at the airport and in Kos town) the hotel will typically charge the taxi firm a fee for booking and they will pass the fee onto you e.g.: Airport to Hotel 35 euros (if you ask the hotel to book it it'll cost you 55 euros) Had a slight misunderstanding with restaurant manager (but once I spoke to Maria the hotel manger, it was swiftly resolved...a big plus to her and to him for acknowledging/apologising). If I had to criticise anything I would say it needed a little more entertainment in the evening (they hold a BBQ evening on a Monday, Greek night on a Wednesday & cocktails on a Friday, just the food/drinks no entertainment... a guitar or piano playing in the background would be nice so that couples could have a smooch after a nice meal and a few glasses of fine wine, this would also help couples to interact a little better. Would defiantly recommend.
When we arrived late at night, we were exhausted and half asleep. We checked in at Reception, which was quick and effortless. They actually told us we had been upgraded to a better room, one overlooking the sea. We then left our bags with reception and had dinner in the main hotel, which was amazing. We then took a buggy down to our room and found our many bags were already there. The rooms were breathtaking, very spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and had fresh towels already laid out, the fridge was stocked with cold drinks and the beds were made. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept well at night. In the morning the sun rises over the main hotel and we had a beautiful view of the sunset from our balcony. Depending on your location it can be quite a hike up to breakfast but it's worth it as the food is 10/10. We were very impressed by the standard in the main restaurant, which is self-serve. They have a huge variety and even the most fussy eater would find something they like. The kitchen and bar staff were incredible and very kind.
There's always something to do, we were certainly never bored. During the day you can eat and drink in any of the 11 restaurants including a pastry corner, a sushi restaurant and a floating island bar. The beach is also very nice although it was a bit crowded and there was alot of litter. There are around 15 pools (all of which are saltwater), and every one of them was big and not too deep, about 1.5m.
This is a beautiful resort! The gardens are immaculate as is the entire resort and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Considering it is such a huge place, staff remembered us and quickly accommodated our requirements, even remembering our favourite evening drinks. Staff in the main restaurant are lovely and the food is amazing. The buffet style dining provides a wide range of options of both hot and cold dishes, everything is fresh and plentiful.
The little mini market has a wide range of products from cotton buds to cold beer, pencil sharpeners to pomegranates and the staff, again, are really friendly and helpful.
There is a friendly calm family atmosphere around the resort with plenty to do if you are that way inclined but no pressure to be active if you prefer a lazy beach and pool day. Each pool offers a different atmosphere with aqua aerobics and water polo for anyone who wants to join in at some or a quiet dip for the serious sunbathers at others.
Our room was clean and comfortable and set in a small block of eight appartment with views across the gardens and down to the sea. The resident little owl appeared daily and we had several sightings of a barn owl at night.
The sports facilities are great. We hired bikes for the day and had a very enjoyable ride to Kos Town and back. Most of the road runs alongside the beach so you can always stop for a dip when it gets too hot - which it will!
We would definitely recommend this resort to friends and family.

Lovely excellent staff all over hotel.. Loved the holiday.... Slight grievance booked studio room it was clean but bathroom disappointing .... Did ask for issues to be put right which they tried but it was not good... Shower had no rail.. Water out of sink taps. Just a dribble... Could have complained more but only being there a week just couldn't be fussed... Shame loved the holiday...
