Tambua Sands Beach Resort - Adults Only

"Massively disappointed. We booked & paid for a private plunge pool bure and arrived at the hotel to find we had a been allocated a beach front bure. The hotel did nothing to compensate or reimburse the difference in cost. Look at the bad reviews on most booking platforms, it seems to have happened regularly at Tambua Sands."
The Beachouse

"It took a day or two to warm up to The Beachouse. I was expecting more of a resort-feel but instead it felt like an upmarket backpackers. The breakfast supplied was very basic..cornflakes and weetbix, bananas, toast and spreads but you could buy a cooked breakfast. But it was very clean, and the food changed for evening meals and was very nice, especially the curries. The hammocks and beach are lovely and it was a place we really relaxed into, probably because it was quite basic. Rooms were small but completely fine and loved the outdoor feel to the bathrooms. I'd go back, because it offers a chance to reset and relax with few distractions. Staff were lovely and while you got the impression they were a bit tired of tourists, underneath if you stopped being a typical tourist they opened up to you."

"Amazing location , the staff was extraordinary and made out trip one of the best we stayed at about 4 to 5 5 star resorts over the duration of our stay and not a single one of them could match the level of comfort and friendliness of the staff at the Naviti . The food was fantastic , rooms were clean alongside all of the facilities. They offer a good amount of things to do . But the staff really made us feel like family to the point we were sad to leave them . 10/10 resort the only downside we had was trying to swim in the ocean of the beach at the resort. There is alot of seaweed and the water can be a bit murky due to the sediments and seaweed , it however is swimable and very warm ."

"We had a wonderful stay at Maui Palms and would happily return. The infinity pool was great, offering beautiful views and a relaxing place to unwind. We also loved the snorkelling right off the property and appreciated the variety of daily activities available during our stay. The staff were warm, friendly, and always willing to help, including assisting with our luggage on arrival and departure. Communication through WhatsApp was convenient and made it easy to stay informed and request assistance when needed. One of the things we enjoyed most was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and escape the crowds. The location is very convenient, with a local supermarket and several food options nearby, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, Maui Palms provided a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable Fiji holiday."

"This was an AWESOME spot, the host and chef service was GREAT. This was an AWSEOME stay I abosolutely love the villa but there are a few issues that need to be addressed. The outdoor furnishings are disgusting and soiled and this is from long term use, bed linen and towels are very worn and mildew and blood were found on pillows, the floors have not been swept in a long time and dusting, forget about it. Cleaning and maintenance seems minimal, light switches broken, weather strip missing from doors(I literally sat looking out through the crack that is 2or3 inches wide. Kichen drawers are a mess, cooking appliances are nasty, which explains the roaches and mouse and droppings in the pantry.There are random people that just show up but dont really serve a purpose, i.e a "gardener popped up but there was no need for it during our stay, pool guy on day 3/4 then lets not forget this random plumber or whatever pulls a cloth from the plumbing system showing it to us right after we checked in, this guy paraded this nasty piece around even entering the kitchen with it whilst the cooks worked, that was beyond me. Pool deck needs pressure washing, steps to the beach are unstable. Awesome stay we refer that we were "glamping" but not worth the price especially with all the foot traffic, rats and roaches. DEFINITELY needs a little TLC. TOILET PAPER, dont forget it"

"We were a group of 5 couples! Beach Villa did not disappoint! Andi & her team were just perfect, not intrusive just working in harmony in the background! Rooms are large & comfortable, pool & lounger area private from beach, which is only meters away! Kayaks & sup boards were great! The chef option was affordable & delicious, & we never went hungry! The property provided the r n r we needed to reset mind & soul "
