Horrible breakfast. No hot water. Stayed on arrival and again 10 days later and still issues with hot water. Really could improve on many aspects.

This used to be the Buskin River Inn and all rooms will be remodeled in the next year. My room was nice. Bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was good and I really like the biscuits. Caught my daily limit of silver salmon in the Buskin River behind the hotel. Nice computer and printer set up in lobby. This is my must stay place in Kodiak.

It took a hit with COVID and closed it's restaurant, so weren't many oportunities to eat, and has no shuttle into town. The decafe Coffee in the lobby was cold, and i was told to heat it up in the micro-wave in our room..

There were two families with straight up brats (both with four brats each); allowed their brats control them, zero parental guidance. Noisy, slammed room door constantly, and were out of control!

There is no bar or restaurant on the property or within walking distance. Literally, no place to eat or drink. You have to use a door dash like facility.

Broken freezer
Very old hotel. I called 30 minutes before arrival and asked if they had a freezer for boxes of fish, they said yes I asked again to make sure it was a freezer not a refrigerator again they said yes. I got a shuttle there and it was a broken freezer cooling in the forties. The manager was there and said he called the owner that morning about the broken freezer but didn’t tell employee, so I asked for a shuttle to return to where I could put the fish he said they can only go to the airport which is about 200 yards away. Not very accommodating for their mistake. Would never stay again. There were several other boxes of fish in the broken freezer I hope they didn’t lose their fish.

It was not good I had intermittent tv service could not get connected to the internet, the phone did not work and the sink in the bathroom was clogged. I tried to get a discount but was denied

Every room on the second floor is identified as non-smoking but there was an extremely strong marijuana smell every day as soon as we walked out of our room. Several times my daughters didn't feel safe because there were numerous people on the second floor who were obviously extremely high on drugs. People were staggering around on the second floor. Would not recommend if travelling with kids.

This hotel is within walking distance of the airport. They have a shuttle if you need it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Basically false advertising in terms of amenities. The restaurant and bar is closed, breakfast is NOT a buffet and only decent on the weekends, no shuttle (because there's no staff to request one), WiFi is incredibly intermittent if at all and 24/7 front desk is not even close to true. Covid is not an excuse. If it has altered your business, then alter your advertising, as it plays a large factor in where one chooses to stay. Arrived at hotel and sat in lobby for 3 HOURS until staff arrived to check in. Over $200 was spent on cab fare alone, as one way to town (4 miles) is $25-30! Expedia was a joke when addressing the issue as well. Extremely disappointed and will never stay there again. Makes me question Quality Inn as a whole.

I tried calling to cancel because I got weathered in where I was at and I couldn't reach the hotel. The phone number would ring twice and then say it wasn’t a working number. There weren’t any other numbers online that I could find either so I had to pay the for the night.

The three good things were: The rooms were clean and smelled fine. The cable TV worked well, with more channels than expected. However, the property was rundown, WiFi didn’t work, there was garbage outside our window, the lobby and hallways smelled bad, breakfast was primarily cold burritos and jello.

Very overheated room. No food hotel.
The heating was full on and the room was in the 80s. They told me to open a window! To do this one had to remove the screen and as the window winder was broken one had to open manually, with difficulty. The front desk was sometimes unmanned. There is no food in the hotel except a very scratch breakfast. One has to take a $25.00 cab ride each way to town to get a meal. The hotel minibus was still not working. My first stay was 9 May and second 24May. Still no coach. I had been fishing and had several boxes. My 05.00 wake up call never came through but fortunately I just woke up. My flight to San Francisco began at 07.00 with two connections. If I had missed it I would have been stuck. The housekeeper and her husband had to take me to the airport. They were very kind. One of the staff had a small dog wandering around as I was trying to leave. It nearly caused me to fall-at 81! I will find other accommodation next year. Very overpriced.

Sir it is unfortunate you had this experience. I appreciate you informing us of the heating problem in your room. It would have been nice to have the opportunity while you were here to correct any problems you had to make your stay more comfortable. I personally assured you that the van was getting fixed that day and if it wasn't ready 1 of our staff would be happy to get you to the airport on time. As it turned out the van was fixed and ready to go. The van driver went out to start the van 10 min before your scheduled shuttle and you were already on your way to the airport. Hope your next hotel stay is a comfortable one.

Bill, Thank you for your feedback. It seems I as the General Manager needs to work with housekeeping staff a bit more. Unfortunately, doing business on a remote island it takes a little longer for parts to come in for the Key card lock. I as well as yourself would like very much to go back to our hot deluxe breakfast, however we are following franchise mandates for Quality Inn.
