A very complete & thoughtfully presented holiday house almost right on the lake. Prefer if closer to Queenstown. I booked with Expedia, made one payment on my credit card, then was billed by Vrbo, which is connected with Expedia for a second payment. This was not wrong, but confusing, as I expected my credit card to be automatically billed by Expedia for a second payment.

Bliss on the Lake
The property had a beautiful view of the lake. It was cozy and had everything we needed. It was a good jumping off point to explore the Southland and Stewart Island.

Quiet Kingston
Quiet and peaceful getaway from Queenstown. View of Lake Wakatipu was breathtaking, the front gardens were beautiful, and the starlit night sky was incredible. Central location for various daytrips: from the Fiordlands, to Queenstown and all the way to Wanaka. It is a rustic but nicely outfitted cabin. Beds were comfortable and appliances worked well. Water is untreated from a cistern so consider purchasing bottled drinking water with your groceries in Queenstown, as there is only a small corner store in Kingston. Satellite internet/TV can be a bit slow or intermittent, but met our entertainment needs. The house manager was extraordinarily attentive and kind and made our stay perfect. We would definitely consider staying again.

Amazing location
We loved this rental, it was so nice to wake up to the lake just across the road and there is a lovely restaurant withing walking distance at the old train station. Unfortunately the train only runs on Sunday so we couldn't take it, but maybe next time! There is also a great bike / hike path that goes around the mountain that we walked on. This was a lovely rental and we enjoyed our time there very much.

Prima verblijf, mooie locatie
Lekker huisje met mooi uitzicht. 2 slaapkamers met goede bedden. Woonkamer en keuken zijn goed voorzien. WiFi verbinding was niet echt goed, viel vaak weg en langzaam. Voor het mooie uitzicht is het een aanrader. Goede uitvalsbasis (met auto) voor oa Queenstown, Te Anau en Milford sound.

Quiet girls weekend
My best friend and I stayed here a couple of nights for a quiet girls weekend, it was absolutely perfect, a whole house for the price of a motel and lake front access and view! We will definitely be going back.

Probably our favourite stay of the trip. Perfect location on the lake with amazing views. Worked so well for bonfires on the beach! Cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Quiet & Cosy Lakeside Cottage
Great quiet location within easy distance of so much, as well as having a great option down the road for dinner. Needed somewhere handy to stay for the Queenstown Marathon and recover afterwards. This place was fully equipped for a longer stay, great in all weather conditions too. Could throw a stone to the lake as well!

Kingston Retreat
Lovely stay with a cosy and well set up bach. Very comfortable and easy to to get to Queenstown. Brilliant weather with all the unpredictability of autumn and even a dusting of snow on the hills. Very beautiful.

We just came back from a wonderful stay in this lovely house. We loved the way it is built with lots of beautiful details and the house is cozy and warm, even warmer than our own house. The location is great, too, and the contact to the owner was perfect. He responded within minutes. Thanks for this lovely stay. We’ll definitely come back again.

Lovely, comfortable bach

Bluff holiday
No linen bag left for dirty linen. Your close line collapsed and smacked me on the head. We found dirty cutlery in the oven warmer draw. Your shower has extreme hot and drizzling cold.

We’re so sorry you experienced these problems Trudi. As it is your second stay with us we feel that we have let you down. Our cleaner mentioned how much you said that you had enjoyed your stay and is distraught that you didn’t give her the opportunity to rectify these issues whilst you were there. We have had a plumber repair the shower after you bought it to our attention and the clothes line has been tightened. We’re at a loss as to why you chose to only post a negative public review. We don’t normally check the warming drawer in the oven and obviously a previous guest has placed dirty cutlery in there. We’re very pro active in conjunction with our cleaner on fixing problems when guests bring them to our attention.

The house had everything we needed, clean and tidy, comfortable beds and a wood heater that warms the whole house. It was located in a very peaceful neighbourg. Perfect for families with kids, lake on front to walk around, playground one block distance. We would love to come back.

One if not the best place I stayed at
Wake up to gorgeous views of lake Wakatipu. This little getaway home is absolutely great and the drive down from Queenstown is unbelievably beautiful. I absolutely enjoyed every thing about this property and I am going to visit again in the future.
