Must Stay
If you are in this region Rushy Creek Farm Stay is the perfect balance of comfort, tranquility, amenities and location to local tourist hot spots. The manager has provided good ideas and recommendations for visits in the area. The house is beautifully decorated with an amazing outlook over the farmland. The fireplace heating system must be a special treat in winter. Highly recommend this establishment.

We had an amazing stay at Rushy creek farm. It was very relaxing but still plenty of activities to keep the kids and adults busy when we wanted. Looking forward to another visit in the cooler months when we can have a fire.

Family over from NSW and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was amazing and well stocked, and the outdoor activities kept everyone busy (especially catching gilgy in the fam)! Great location and very clean. Great communication with host and we will return!

Beyond Expectations
We were astonished by how beautiful the set up was and so grateful for our hosts who drove us down to town area and even further up to rent a car due to the lack of transportation. The place itself was spacious, so cozy and well equipped, we cooked and felt like it was our home indeed. There is also extra bedsheets and towels that we could always change, and staying here definitely gave us a tranquil moment. Would love to stay there again!

Perfect stay for a group of friends!
My friends and I stayed at the property for a few days and had an amazing time. The house was clean, spacious and accomodating, and the surrounding area was beyond beautiful. Tracy was a very helpful and communicative host - we really enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future!

The house was lovely and the scenery was beautiful. Beds super comfy. The west wing was great for my Mum to have some time away from our toddler - only hitch there was we couldnt get the tv to work because there were satellite issues. The kitchen was very well equipped with heaps of crockery and cutlery which was great. A beautiful spot!

The property is a delight to look at, live in and use. Everything you could possibly want has been considered making it feel like a true home. What we liked was the comprehensive additional information and instructions, the outdoor entertainment area and the beautiful peaceful scenery. We also liked the decor and general layout. We liked the locality to Hamlin Bay and Augusta, and the local two wineries are another level. What would we change or add? Can't really think of anything, but we didn't find any egg cups (small world problems). Shame it's not dog friendly but understand that some dog breeds are unpredictable. Would we return - most certainly.

Perfect summer holiday with the family
What an absolutely special place. Rushy Creek Farm was a perfect summer holiday for our family of 8 adults and 2 toddlers. We spent our days going on walks through the bush on the property, greeting the cows, having dinners on the back deck, playing badminton, and heading to beaches, bakeries, and wineries. The hosts were lovely and the farmhouse was modern, clean, and very comfortable- it had everything we needed from cookware, to antihistamines, bug spray, and finksa! Also loved the cool, artistic touches made from things around the farm like the light shades in the main room. Lots of places to lounge and read a book, and the outdoor shower and bath were luxury at sunset. We had the best time and will certainly return! Thank you.

Perfect spot for a family holiday in the Margaret River region.
Thank you for a very comfortable stay for our family group aged 16 - 80 years old. Plenty of space for everyone in a relaxing setting. Close to beaches and the Blackwood River for daily swimming expeditions, with Margaret River / Augusta also conveniently nearby. We had fun with the games provided and loved our views of the cattle across the farm. The outdoor bath and shower were a hit!

it"s always wonderful to hear of 3 generations of a family enjoying the property. It's also great to see guests making the most of the wonderful beach and river areas in the vicinity.

False advertising
I had family visiting from UK and we booked this property because of the lovely photos advertised for the property plus the amazing write up selling the property. Unfortunately most it was false, the photos must have been taken 10 years ago, everything at the property was old, worn, discoloured, broken and dangerous. On arrival we we’re pretty excited to find out what the next 4 days would be like staying at the property, pretty much straight away we realised it was the complete opposite to what we had been sold, opening the doors the first thing you smelt was old musty smell, walking around there were spiders and webs everywhere, we found ants living in the kettle and also an army of ants in one of the bedrooms, this house had not been used for sometime, it had not been cleaned and it took us 2 hrs to go round with brushes and vacuum to get it something like liveable, all the cupboards in the Annex fell off or were held on by one screw, the internet wifi was useless. As for outside the lovely lake that was pictured was a dust bowl, the badminton net was worn and collapsed on the floor, the decking level down to the lawn was to high for kids and there were metal spikes sticking out all around it. The furniture outside did not look safe to sit on so we didn’t. We had to stay one night because we had know where else to go, we messaged the host to tell them and they excepted what we said and refunded nearly all of our money, no arguments which tells me they knew the state of this property. I can tell it once was a very nice place but unfortunately it’s been left to rot away like the snake skins we found under the outside coffee table. Would recommend this listing be removed until money time and effort have been put into it.

We don't agree with this review. The property had received a thorough 7 hour clean the previous day. The property and furniture are safe, and it receives a quarterly pest control treatment. The photos on the website were taken in winter. In the middle of summer, dam levels are lower, the paddocks are brown and the fires in the fireplaces are not allowed .

Our stay was amazing, it was for my husbands 60th and both my children and their families came with us. The property didn't disappoint. It was clean and well stocked with everything you could need, we will definitely be coming back. If I had one tiny suggestion it would be for a tumble dryer, only because it rained alot when we stayed and it would of been good to dry off our clothes, other than that and maybe a couple of spare umbrellas you couldn't wish for more from a holiday rental. I think this is going to be a regular stay for my family 🙂

Amazing Getaway
Do yourself a favour and book this venue for your next holiday. Myself and 9 friends stayed at Rushy Creek Farm for a weekend getaway and we had an amazing experience! The host, Tracy, was so helpful and very quick with communicating, there was absolutely no issues. The house and it’s views are stunning! Sitting around the outside fire, looking out across the paddocks was memorable. Our only regret was not making time to have a bath in the outside tub. The morning walks around the area were fun and the Glenarty road winery was 5 mins away and is worth a visit. We were 10 adults and never felt cramped in the house. Was very spacious and felt homely. The kitchen was well equipped and the linen was clean and everything presented beautifully! Thank you!

Lovely farm in Karridale
This was our second visit to Rushy Creek Farm and we have had a lovely stay. The location is beautiful and serene. Our young kids loved running around outside and going for walks around the farm. The house is great though could use some deep cleaning. We will definitely be back.

Location was lovely and secluded, half way between Augusta and Margaret River so easy access to things. Very close to the Karridale Tavern for an easy meal when you don't want to cook. Very Comfortable furnishings to relax of an evening after being out sightseeing all day. Waking up and having coffee & breakfast out on the patio listening to the birds and the occasional moo from the cows was a lovely way to start each morning. Bed is super comfy and the doona covering was so warm. I did feel like a numpty trying to figure out the shower to get the hot water to come through, but I got there in the end haha. Also if the Internet Password doesn't work. switch off the wifi unit and back on and it will display the password. The password had changed from what was in our Welcome Information pack, assuming it changes every so often when recharged perhaps, but was an easy fix and we didn't have to contact Tracey and bother her in the late evening when we were trying to connect :)

Lovely property, disappointing communication
Lovely property, great outlook on the farm. It could do with a spring clean/maintain, oven in particular, but was neat and tidy overall. Disappointed with communication with owner, I appreciate they were away and out of range, an alternative contact would have been helpful to answer some queries we had on the day of arrival. West wing whilst useful space is not up to same standard as main house. Would have appreciated some long life milk being left to get us through first morning as we arrived in early evening after travelling all day, or at least notice that there was very limited basics. Also no fire starters, although notes said there were! The property is 30 mins from Margaret River region, if wine tasting is your main reason for visiting.

Loved this property! So spacious inside and out, everyone had their own space to move, just such a lovely open and inviting place. Kitchen is so well stocked, made cooking enjoyable. Loved saying hi to the cows when we went past. Tracy was so easy to communicate with, provided a lot of very useful info for check in, and for the region. Would definitely love to return another time, it's a great place to explore Margaret River and Augusta from, and genuinely enjoyed returning at the end of the day.

Relaxing break
There were excellent things and not so good things experienced during our stay. It was Very frustrating that we could not connect to the internet as the name given to us on the Instructions wasn’t being recognised or even coming up AS an Option. Icouldn’t contact the owners as there was no phone number. a And my phone was struggling to send an email which wasn’t answered anyway, This was very frustrating because one of our members needed to be in contact by email with his work. That was the only reason he came down for the break ( if he could have access to Internet) The setting was glorious and the rooms in the main house were very good Took full advantage of the views out the windows. It was great to see a lot of games available for both inside and outside. The outside looked a lot more tired than the photos showed it to be but that is expected and didn’t worry us. The couple who slept in the west wing were very underwhelmed by their space. The stove didn’t work And nor did one of the lamps in the bedroom. They were not impressed about having no cloths or spray to clean down the kitchen with nor any crockery or cutlery which they didn’t discover until they went to go to their room for the night and then had to disturb us to get back in to get the stuff. They were not happy at not being able to use the stove to do the coffee in the morning quite away from the main house. It was just a matter of privacy I was a tad embarrassed because I talked them into staying with us telling them that they could have their own separate part of the house Because I was out of the impression that the Westwing was fairly self contained On the Plus side, there were plenty of blankets, lots of crockery and cutlery in the main house, a nice shower (that needed instructions), a Huge TV … Problem was too many remotes and instructions when followed only related to 2 and we had a lot of trouble getting it back on track when Someone accidentally use the wrong remote to change the channel. Following instructions get it back was very frustrating and took ages. Decor was great and in keeping with the property and design. Love the lights in the lounge room! Would be good to have a clock in there somewhere though. All in all it was a lovely time Goodbye people in the main house but that was spoiled a bit by the complaining of the Westwing. Occupants. Great to see a snakebite kit and first aid kit thankfully we thankfully we didn’t need them.

Thanks for the feedback. The West Wing is not set up to be a separate living space, however there is a fridge, kettle and toaster in the kitchenette. Previously guests have happily carried cups and cutlery etc from the kitchen in the main house which is 10 metres away. We haven't had any previous guests who have had difficulty with the internet and instructions that are in the information email and in the lounge room. My phone number is also clearly outlined in the information email. Generally we have found guests have very kindly let us know if there are items that need tending to such as lightbulbs, as it can be many weeks since we have been in the house, and that cleaning staff may not be aware of. We pride ourselves in being very responsive to queries and requests.

The house itself is so beautiful, bit warm in the main loungeroom although the rest of the house was nice and cool. Was beautiful waking up to the birds and scenery.
