Do not do this to yourself! This place is outdated, weird, and uncomfortable. Here is what we did not like: - You can only pay in cash, they are under some sanctions, or mafia or whatever, but they are quite aggressive at the end that you need to pay cash - Rooms are spacious and clean but need major update - sinks are cracked, beds uncomfortable - SPA is very outdated, feels more like hospital, got an overpriced massage that was weird, creepy and in not so clean and comfortable environment - Hotel is kind of dark everywhere, evenings feels really uncomfortable, there is nobody around, not lively at all - Overall, if you want to enjoy Karlovy Vary and be in a nice hotel, have decent SPA experience, and feel like you enjoyed your time there, this is absolutely not the hotel to go!

My experience at this hotel was bad. To start with: 1. Hotel credit card machine was not working. So everything had to be paid with cash. Who would expect to be walking around with 15,000 - 20,000 kronor in cash?? Going to city center and getting the cash cost us an extra $85 in transaction fees and poor conversion rates. 2. Being a small town and boutique hotel, very few people speak English. We made an appointment and went to the spa at the time. It was our first experience in a "salt cave". Nobody to tell us what to do. We lost about 10 minutes in this experience, but had to pay full price. Same thing with the mineral bath. Lost few minutes because there was nobody to guide us, but had to pay full price. Finally at check out time, we were told that their credit card system is not working for a month!!!. If that was the case, the hotel should have informed the guests in ADVANCE so that we would have made alternate arrangements. As for the hotel itself, it is a very nice property and enjoyable if the hotel can do a better job.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very nice !we enjoyed the spa and the room, but We had one problem in the room The AC wasn’t working and they sent us somebody to fix it but he couldn’t. When we ask for another room the lady said it was full and her solution to the AC problem was to open the window. We were very disappointed and couldn’t sleep because of the noise outside. Beautiful hotel but no AC.

Not a 5 Star facility
Definitely not 5 star. 3 to 3.5 star by North American or Western European standards. Staff at hotel and spa lacking desire to satisfy customer. No spa atmosphere at all more of a socialist era hospital/rehab centre. Spa receptionist will keep answering calls from other spa employees while you are trying to purchase treatments. Lots of things broken and out of order. Spa employees lack proper spa/customer service etiquette. Very little communication with clients. No real is effort is made to sell or explain treatments. We just gave up after 2 days and explored Karlovy Vary instead.

Overall was ok except the first night where we asked to be shifted to another terrible small room due to a leakage in our room, next morning I called the receptionist who offered me another room in different building, I refused and returned to my old room after it was repaired, for this I’m entitled for a refund of the first night room rate.

The hotel is made of several villas, very nice resort. We came in February it wasn't well served and the nature wasn't splendid for sure. I think it's better to visit karlovy vary during summer time.

We booked a double room and were pleasantly surprised upon check in by the upgrade to a suite. The suite was spacious and featured two full bath rooms, two safe boxes, brand name toiletries, bottles of water, tea, coffee machine, bath robes, etc. The key from the room provides access to the spa with multiple pools, big and small, and saunas (perhaps, there is more, but we did not have time to explore it due to a short duration of our stay). The hotel is a short distance from a main street with restaurants, shops, attractions. The city is beautiful.

Hotel needs renovations.
Old hotel, needs renovations. Breakfast is very poor. But the good thing about this hotel is very helpful and friendly staff. They are trying hard to compensate for all the bad sides of this hotel.

Very disappointed , rude front desc, poor service
Made the booking month ahead with request for nice room with two doubles! Arrived with my sister who is in btw chimo therapy ! Wright at the front desc I got the manager who demand pay up front !!!! I never use to this treatment but ok, I paid !!! After I noticed her (Gabriela ) that we had an 5h drive and asked politely for the nice room!! She give us small room with the Quinn size bed for 2 pple and no air condition !!!! The room was so small that my luggage was barely fitting there!!! I asked for another option and she let as wait for another hour and she complained that she is very busy but will do some changes and we got another room at ground floor with no view !!!!! We was so exhausted that we was agree to that!! If you go to the spa area personal so unfriendly , not even greats you , busy with there own staff or simply playing on there smart phone!!! And this should be 5star service?!!! And if you asked them for something they making face expression that you feel you bothering them for life!!!! Still happy with some personal who is doing Beaty treatments, some of them realy looking to please you.. But it's just few!!!!!! Restaurant service is poor !! Some evenings they not even ask for choice of drink and not bothering to ask how are you doing?food is ok, staying there for 7 days and see quality could be better for 5star hotel!!! Consultation with doctor was more or less about the weather and was lit disappointed in there professionalism!!! I asked for horsebackriding club and they give me some address outside the karlovi vary! I asked exactly direction in English and lady in front desc with same face expression ,, don't bother me by working,, lol told me that impossible for her to print out in English , but she can do in chech !!!ok !!! She print me out half of the direction and the rest she try to drow me on the map! After few minutes she got exchausted and ask me if I want use the taxi instate ?!! Lol I left the hotel , was get lost and finally found it !!! Oh ! What I see it's a big field with no really office set up, some building looks like got the bomb from 1945 war!! Some dirty half naked people running around and one gypsy who tryed to make picture with his phone!! lol I'm not lie!! It's just like horror movie!!! Question to 5star hotel why they offering socha place?!!! They not even listening what are you looking for !! Front desk poor manners , talking to you like to 2 level sitizen , like they know better !! They intarspping you by talking , avoiding eyes contact and no smile or kind word coming out then mouth !!! Terrible experience by checking out!!! Never coming back!!! It's so shame for socha beautiful city socha ugly unfriendly service !!! Hearing another guests in the hotel who leaving with the same about feelings... I more feeling welcome in Austria or schweiz then there!!! Terrible!!!!

Beautiful place
Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and the setting is gorgeous. The breakfasts were very good. However, several things did not correspond to a 5 star international hotel rating:1 - Bathroom - bath plug was leaking, making having a bath impossible and it also did not drain completely, making showering unpleasant. No separate shower, though I did not select the lowest price category room available (selected middle range) 2 - TV and all notices/signs were in Russian as 1st language - absolutely unacceptable. Only Russian (mostly), Arabic, German And Czech (2) TV channels, no British or American ones. 3 - Food - a la carte restaurant was totally empty, making it impossible to dine in. The "Swedish table", though with plentiful choice, offered mostly dried up and lukewarm food - poor quality for a high price (I rate the food quality commensurate with a 3* hotel rating). The choice of Russian as a 1st language in an international hotel is insulting to other guest - even if majority of the guests may be Russian.

Das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns wohl und haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Der eingetretene Umstand am Freitag tat uns für das Personal leid. Sie gaben sich trotzdem grosse Mühe.

Hochwertiges Hotel zum relativ günstigen Preis
Das Savoy habe ich nun das 2. mal besucht, weil ich wusste, dass ich dort einen sehr komfortablen Aufenthalt und einen guten Spa-Bereich für einen sehr guten Preis bekommen werde. Meine Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Die Wellnessanwendungen waren sehr gut. Das Frühstück fanden wir zu teuer und beim Abendessen am Buffet war leider fast alles kalt, deshalb gingen wir am nächsten Tag in die Stadt zum essen.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Die Zimmer bzw. Einrichtungen und die Flure sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
