The breakfast was not that great.. selection was not well suited for north american selection. We could not even get scramble eggs. Juice was terrible and no consideration for food alergies.

Well located hotel with decent breakfast. The facilities are very simple but enough if you aren't spending too much time at the hotel. The staff are friendly and speak decent English at the reception.

Incredible stay
This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed out in all of Taiwan. The room was beautiful, the gym was a very impressive size for a hotel. Staff was excellent, and I loved my room

Good and bad
We had an overall experience acceptable. However, we chose this hotel because of its facilities (incl. swimming pool and gym). The gym is a museum and not a gym, most of the equipments are not working or are getting super old. Cleaning of the room shall also be improved as trash from the previous day are forgotten by the hotel cleaning service. No other bad comments to raise. Location is great and staff friendly.

Great pool! Room was spacious and clean, great view of the city. Front desk, especially Carol, was helpful and friendly, like a concierge and even a nurse! Hotel is close by the MRT station, and within a five minute walk from the Love River, night market, day market, etc. Great Tainan, Hakka, hotpot and even Italian restaurants close by too!

Nice room
Room was nicely decorated and comfortable. About 10 mins walking to night market. Wall is too thin though as l can hear the people next door and above talking and closing doors.

1. The housekeeper will always throw away our toothbrushes daily and that is not eco-friendly at all. 2. The free parking at the hotel is too limited. 3. Location is good as it is close to Pier 2 Art Centre, Liu He Night Market, Ruifeng 瑞豐夜市 Night Market, Xing Long Ju 興隆居 breakfast restaurant. Also it is just about 35-50min drive away from 佛光山 Fo Guang Shan and E-Da Outlet or 30min drive to Taroko Park Mall. 4. The bedsheets and linens need to be replaced. We saw some stains on our sheets and pillow case so it didn’t feel so hygienic. 5. Our twin bed room was very dim. The washroom walls were black and there wasn’t enough light. The bedroom had red walls so the light hitting the walls made the whole room very red and a bit scary. 6. The air conditioner placement is terrible because it is right underneath the window curtains so it blows the curtains up when the curtains are closed for bedtime. It feels very eerie when the curtain is lifted up in midair due to the air conditioner wind... We ended up putting two big pillows against the curtain to prevent the curtains from flying.

The hotel has many years of history and may look old on the outside but the rooms are very clean and new. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only setback is that there is no wifi connection in the room’s washroom. Overall, still very happy with our stay at the hotel.

The hotel bed is comfortable. The bathroom rain shower is nice. There is not much around the hotel but walking distance to the Love River and 5 minutes walk to the subway station. It was a nice stay.

Nice quiet hotel in central Kaohsiung
Comfortable and economical hotel in central Kaohsiung. Located on a wide, quiet street on the same block as a police station, the immediate area doesn't have any restaurants or shops but a night market is about a 20-minute walk away. We arrived late (around 9:30 pm) and the hotel restaurant and bar had closed, but reception was very helpful in suggesting some nearby eateries, about 10-minutes' walk away. The room was comfortable, bright and modern. There was no bedside lamp though. Breakfast was simple but good. Free parking in front of the hotel. Even has a swimming pool (but we didn't try).

Nice hotel with a long history.
My favorite hotel for staying in Kao Hsiung city. Quiet neighborhood, close to subway station with convenience store around the corner makes it a very handy place for travelers. Nice pool and decent gym too.
