Great location and lovely bach feel
The house was clean and tidy and was as described in the booking. A classic family bach a stones throw from the beach and boat ramp. Great to be able to take our dogs also

Great place and location
Stayed for a month and it became home for us. Great location for all activities in the south bay/kaikoura area and the house has everything you need in a comfortable, clean condition. We didn have any issues but im sure the owner would deal with any promptly.

Warm, cofortable, homely Bach, well located - we had a wonderful few days there and would love to come back some time. The outhouse could be aired a little more... but overall a very pleasent place to stay with Friends or Family

We all had a lovely cosy stay here. Great facilities. Awesome communication from Sally. Plenty of activities around us to enjoy during daytime and then relax on the deck afterwards.

cute cottage, would definitely like to return, however by then we hope the owner has been able to spring clean the cottage as was quite musty. Can not use the garage as is full of furniture and only a small car can access the property for off road parking

Thanks for the reminder. We will get the gutters cleaned out. That will keep the house dry. We do have an ongoing problem in the sleepout. Its a happy place in summer. Sorrry, the garage is full of neighbours furniture til their earthquake renovations are completed. Plenty of parking elsewhere.

Cosy cottage
This was a lovely cottage to stay in, with a great gas fire in the living room. Very handy to the peninsula walk and also the walk up and over the hill to town. Easy communication with Sally and would definitely recommend.

House is stocked with everything you need. Sleep out is fantastic to throw the kids in and house is nice and cozy warm. Even has a couple of epic tubs of toys for little ones. Walkway to the bay is right next door. Will definitely come back.

We've stayed at Wakatu Cottage several times and always enjoy the peaceful cosy atmosphere regardless of the time of the year. Great access to a range of activities with a comfortable base to operate from and always appreciate being able to have our dogs stay with us.

Kiwi Cottage Getaway
Wonderful location, very close to the boat ramp and the beach. Our dog Charly would wait on the veranda for us to return from fishing each day. Really enjoyed our stay. Great weather.

Fantastic!
We loved staying here - it was so great being able to have our dog come away with us, the house is very well equipped and the gas fire made our stay very cosy. The wee playground just up the road and the close proximity to the beach was great for the kids. The chrome cast meant Mum and Dad could watch their favourite show once the kids were in bed too :) Thanks Sally - we’ll be back!

Autumn Break
The bach has a nice laid back feel to it, with everything you might need. We easily walked over the hill to the cafes and enjoyed being close to the sea. Is was especially good to have been able to take our dog with us, who is, after all, a member of our family. We will be back.
