We were in Dallas for the Roller Derby World Cup, which was being held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center just down the road (about a 5 minute walk). We had a couple extras days to sightsee in Dallas, and the two things we wanted to see, the JFK memorial with the Sixth Floor Museum and the Dallas World Aquarium were also only short walks from the hotel. So it's location was perfect for us. The staff were fantastic! Everyone we had contact with (front desk, concierge service, valet, and buffet staff) were all super friendly and very helpful. The room itself was great, and we made good use of the kitchen, as we had traveled to a nearby Kroger to stock up on groceries (about $11 cab ride each way). The room was always clean. The shower was large. The bed was just right. And the furnishings made us very comfortable. The breakfast and evening buffet did include a different vegetarian selection everyday which we appreciated.
This was a last minute reservation because we needed to take our daughter to a nearby medical facility the next morning. We arrived late at night, tired, worn out, and with a miserable kid. The staff was very friendly and professional and the room was extremely comfortable. It was quiet and we were able to get the rest we needed. There is a surface lot just around the corner if you don't want to valet park and also metered street parking (this was completely open when we arrived at 10:30pm and is free overnight, but the spots were all filled at 7:30am when we left). We did not eat while we were there, but there were several options that looked typical for a hotel of this quality.
We were treated like royalty! The room was clean, breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was so friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Location is great for downtown business or shopping. Can't wait to go back!
The club thrive I would not recommend tho. We were told it was free before 11 so we got there at 10:45 and they made the guys pay 20$ each to get in and their was 4 people at the entrance and all 4 were hounding us that we had to pay even tho the hotel told us it's free for guest. When we left we went to the front desk and they gave us our money back.
