Clean rooms, welcoming staff, wholesome breakfast buffet and good cuisine overall made up for some small disappointments and discomforts in the room.
I had to call Maintenance for issues with the heating function of the air-conditioner which never worked adequately during my stay. Winter can be cold in Gauteng.
Same applied for the old TV set that had to be switched on manually after each power cut (Eskom's fault but there should have been a solution).
Note that the hotel provided prompt electricity supply during each power cut so my complaint here is only about having to switch the TV on again after each of the many power cuts and reconnections.
Laundry was done promptly and cleanly but the ironing+packing was somewhat disappointing. I had asked for items to be folded but those were returned in a carton box in a condition that was below par.
The view from Room 210, supposedly a superior room with a view on the golf was not exactly what I expected. One should move to rooms further away from the restaurant to admire the green from one's room. However, the room opens on a private terrace and this compensated a bit.
Another complaint about the room is the fact that the shower has no door and the person showering can be seen from the bedroom as the window between the two areas does not close or lock completely. Not an issue for a couple but someone travelling with a child might be embarrassed.
Still, for the avid golfer, all the above should not be any deterrent.
