The resort's staff is extremely helpful and engaging without being pushy. The food was good, the rooms comfy and clean, the resort within short distance to shopping area (besides the hotel's store).The location is great, the beach is wide, clean, safe and very pretty. The vendors on the beach are not aggressive or overbearing, and carry "licenses".

The staff we got to know were fantastic. 2 named Omar and 1 named Santos. They were friends to us, always glad to see you and genuinely happy at their jobs. Access to the beach is a little challenging. Food was good, breakfast is excellent. Loud and I mean LOUD, thumping music on the pool deck needs to be eliminated. We won't be going back.

The property is roughly 30 years old and the rooms are clean; however, the property is slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was extremely tight for shower/restroom. If you are OK with those comments then the rest should be very good. Solid food at the buffets each day, great friendly service, great beach with ample lounge chairs. Great views from the room, great AC in the rooms and we had a fantastic balcony with an ocean view. They had entertaining shows almost nightly which was nice unless you want to sleep before 10:30 PM and then the sound was rather loud in the rooms. For cost to value - I would say this was an excellent option.

It was a good value for the money. Great service and environment. We really enjoyed the place. The only downside was the ocean beach. Ocean had high waves that was too dangerous to go swimming for anyone. I am surprised that no one mentioned in the reviews that it could be dangerous and impossible to swim. The same applies to all near by hotels/resorts. We were there at the beggining of July and not sure if it the same all your round.

There were so many children at the resort could not use the pool. The local guests were rude and cut in line at buffets. One restaurant server would not give us bacon as we were “Americanos”. The maid one day took the money we had put on pillow for her and left without cleaning room. Had to get another maid to clean it. Would not stay here again.

Good for the price
I read the reviews and noticed food comments where not good. They are true. The food variety its limited and not that good. The drinks are not that good either. Service its good overall. The check in process was not good. Our room was not ready and did not received a hotel guide or directions. But for the price its ok, just be aware.

Waiter at pool bar was great. They charged us $120 for a covid test. Front desk people were very rude Everytime we asked for help.

The Staff was very friendly and it is right on the beach. I enjoyed the location as it is on a nice beach. Also, there are several beach chairs for people as I saw some other Hotels had very few. I purchased the All Inclusive and for Drinks I loved it, but for Food there weren't too many options. Overall, I would still return just wish they had a few more food options.

In Ixtapa, I have stayed at Holiday Inn, Brisas, And Barleco. Of all Royal Park was the worst. The pools were small and unclean. The rooms were nice but the bathrooms were unclean. We had to call maintenance because the shower backed up. What we did enjoy was the variety of food. The Italian restaurant was excellent.

To many kids with no rules, caused by special rates to locals who are rude and lack respect for other guests. Couldn’t even get a drink at the swim up bar cause kids are playing on it. I have been going here for 15 years, next year we will be staying elsewhere.

WAY TOO many locals at this resort! Getting worse every year! Waited too long for our rooms to be ready!! Children sitting on stools at swim up pool bar, with some people just sitting taking up that space. Staff serving their people first and the rest after that. We won’t return!!!!!!

Loved the cleanliness and decor of the restaurants. The food was good but they served the same dishes everyday. However, the food was amazing in the Italian restaurant. The hotel is located in an excellent location of the beach. Parasailing and other activities were easily accessible. The pool and rooms definitely showed their age.

Nice restaurants and food. Large lobby area with comfortable couches and tables to chill. Cushions need to be cleaned. The pool chairs are old and uncomfortable. There were no chairs available at the pool during the day. Pool closes too early 7PM.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It was a miss understanding about check in information, no close parking spaces I wish there were more clear about reservations. The staff is friendly, music is loud if you’re gonna try to go sleep early, elevators are small , maybe last time I stay here.
