The George Hotel is home to the world’s only Rugby League Heritage Museum, which features a vast collection of memorabilia and artefacts from the history of the sport. George Hotel is located right in the heart of Huddersfield. Being only a 6 minute drive from Junction 24 off the M62, it is both easily accessible and convenient. For those flying in, the nearest major Airport is at Manchester, roughly a 50 minute drive away, or there’s Leeds Bradford International Airport, a little over 30 minutes by car. Visitors can discover more about their lives and novels at the Bronte Parsonage Museum in the village of Haworth. Heading south, less than 7 miles from Huddersfield is the picturesque town of Holmfirth famous as the location of the popular BBC series ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. There’s more to Holmfirth than just Compo, Cleggy and Foggy, including many delightful gift shops and craft galleries as well as a wide variety of eateries, restaurants and traditional English public houses
