“Perfect place to relax”

“Not that Impressed.....”

I decided that this hotel was the best on in Protaras because it was listed as a 5 star hotel. Whilst the actual fabric of the building might be impressive and 5 star, the rooms, service and food most certainly are not. I have stayed in Protaras 3 times over the past year each time at a different hotel and all I can say is that there is little to choose between them despite the different star rating of this one over the other two.

It's a room with a view and running water, not much else. The bed was like sleeping on a brick, the air conditioner barely kept the room below 80 degrees, the rest of the inside of the hotel is unbearably hot unless you find a location near an antiquated wall a/c unit, internet is only available in the lobby and it dropped repeatedly. Most of the staff was aloof and unhelpful, as if they were doing us a favor by allowing us to come to their country for our holiday. The location, food, pool and beach were wonderful. There was a family friendly atmosphere.
