“Pleasantly Surprised”

I must say we were leery when booking this hotel based on price and the reviews others had made... but I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, you can tell this property was very elegant once upon a time, it is set off an old golf course. The decorations and motiff are outdated but who cares, you are not on vacation to look at the surrondings of your room you are there to take a break from reality and get a good nights sleep. The staff is slim, however they work deligently to make you feel welcomed and at home. We were on a budget and this fit into it and we made the most of it utilizing the pool and the beach was only 30 minutes away. We had searched the beach area for a hotel when looking to book this trip and being it was over the 4th of July holiday it was outrageous the prices we found This was definitely a diamond in the ruff. we will definitely be back in the future!

I stay in jacksonville often for medical care. after several poor choices, I was very impressed with this hotel. I will be back.

The room was clean and nice. The front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful. Only had one small problem and was taken care of quickly and with a smile! Breakfast was good, pool was clean and nice. Would highly reccomend this hotel. For the price it was well worth it!

the hotel is in need of some maintenance outside ... the room was neat and clean .. anything i needed, they were glad to help me with ... for the price .. it was fine with me ..the staff was very friendly ...

“Just a hotel”

We wanted an inexpensive hotel to sleep in one night for a few hours. we got just what we paid for. We weren't expecting anything extravagant. I would stay there again under those circumstances, but not for any longer.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We were worried driving in however we were very happy with the staff and the room. Everything worked A/C, TV, Phone etc in the room. Breakfast was fine enough to get us going for the day

“Good Value despite first impressions”

I had a night stay, which turned into 2 nights. Once I got settled in my room I was over happy. I did not hear other guest or traffic. Everything was working in my room except the remote whch the front desk replaced after I called them. I will return and stay there in the future.

“Pretty Decent”

I would have to say that this was a pretty decent hotel for the price that I paid. I didnt pay as much as most of the hotels were in the area and most of the time when that happens I get a room that isn't clean or has a bad odor. This hotel didnt have that. It was very convenient to the places that I was going. I didnt have to go to far to go eat or go to the mall. I have decided to save this hotel in my phone address book for future Jacksonville visits.

“Not my perception of service”

The hotel was reasonably priced but I expect for that price an average room, clean and maintained. The hotel interior is really dated and not well maintained. Staff was blow expected service level.

“You get what you pay for”

The hotel was a cheap hotel, but not so cheap that it was scary, it was ackward to find, the location was hidden. There wasn't a sign on the main road to direct you there. You kind of find it by chance, and if you are tired enough desparation. The staff had a laid back like whatever attitude, but wasn't mean. Just disconnected. The hotel was old inside & newer outside, I wouldn't have felt comfortable as a woman staying there by myself.
