I love the Rex. Location is perfect. Hotel has a rich history and is gorgeous. Staff seemed a bit stressed. The check in desk seemed a bit short with us. The rest of the staff (housekeeping, food service, doorsmen) were absolutely wonderful. I think we were a bit turned off by the long waits for help. However, I must add that it was clearly a busy weekend with weddings and such so I will not fault the front desk staff. However, I also traveled 9,000 miles and 24 hours of flight time to be there and can’t help their situation as much as I would like to. I think you get my point. I’m not a demanding customer, but this one time I felt like I had to be just to get basic services from the front desk. I think they just needed more help this particular weekend. Still a wonderful property, with a wonderful staff!! And we will be back. We love the Rex. We have no hard feelings at all. Much love to you all.
