"Brand new property as it opened on the day we arrived. Beautifully designed and very modern. The staff tried their best however there were some teething issues. We pre-paid via Hotels.com but the staff at check-in said they could find our booking but could not see whether we had paid. Ended up supplying proof of payment by showing them our bank records and for supplying our card number again. This was not ideal and check-in for the 4 rooms our party booked took almost an hour.
Apart from this, the stay was largely pleasant. I particularly liked the innovative idea of the breakfast, offering unique pastries and bread from local bakeries instead of the boring buffet spread. Rooms were reasonably sized. Best feature was the in-room washing machine. However, disappointingly, in one of the four rooms we booked, the washing machine did not work and started leaking water in the middle of the night. This meant that some of us had to stay up until 1am while the staff tried to fix it. In the morning they provided another room for us but caused us to miss breakfast. Nothing was offered to compensate for the extreme inconvenience."
