"An amazing hotel to stay in Kyoto. Very central to everything we wanted to see. The Italian restaurant onsite is absolutely fabulous!!!"

Gion Elite Terrace

"Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t for you, but if you was a solid hotel with fantastic levels of comfort then this is for you. The motorized blackout blinds were a huge plus as the sun rises painfully early in summer in Japan (before 5am)."

"Wonderful onsen to relax in with beautiful products to use afterwards. Face masks, moisturisers and lotions available in the foyer for free. Snacks and drinks provided in the foyer for free when relaxing and planning activities. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops, train stations and many shrines. Our room was beautiful, spacious and quiet."
