We found everything to our liking. Very nice grounds, very clean and comfortable at at good price. No bells and whistles but as local travellers that suited us fine. The dining room is only open when tour groups are staying, but we had our own breakfast and a good kitchen in our unit. The manager/owner direct us to the Moreiki Tavern for a meal and we were not disappointed with that suggestion Great meals there, affordable. We had an interesting day exploring the Katiki Lighthouse and wildlife in that area, a hidden gem and walking the Millennium Track at Moreiki..
We stayed in the more spacious superior motel unit which was very comfortable. There are two of them in the motel block, if when booking you get a choice ask for the end unit which has much more light in it than the one next door due to the end windows. However no complaints.
