lovely view from cute wee village
Service was lovely, and hotel simple but clean etc. Location was brilliant - in upper part of little village above hersonissos beach town. Removed from the masses in tourist season, but with delicious (well priced too) food and drink just out the door in the village and only a 10min stroll down to the beach town, or you could get a car/scooter/bike for the trip like everyone else seemed to. Recommended for sure!

Very nice hotel and staff, nice view from the deck
The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and had nice facilities. Nice pool and a great view from the balcony. Close to a wonderful cafe/taverna, Kosta's. Far enough away from the beach tourists, close enough to town for shops and restaurants.

Nice but...
Our stay at Korifi Suites was nice overall but, if I were to recommend it to a friend, I would tell them not to pay for breakfast (not worthy at all). Additionally, we were requested to pay 7 euros a day for the air conditioning remote control and the shower was awful. However, having said this, our stay was pleasant, the room was comfortable and spacious with a kitchen to cook the fantastic local produce and the swimming, though very small, was very cozy.

Great place to relax.
Nestled at the foot of a mountain, Korifi Suites boasts stunning views of the small villages below, the port of Hersonissos and the Aegean, as well as the house mountain, which is illuminated at night ("korifi" means peak in Greek). After a four-year hiatus, we came back this August and found Korifi to be even better than last time. George, the very friendly and helpful owner, is constantly making small improvements (the swimming pool is now beautifully illuminated at night; more outside sitting areas have been added) and he goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. We loved sitting on our terrace at dusk, taking in the views, listening to the tinkle of bells and bleating of sheep in the distance... We highly recommend you rent a car or a scooter so you can explore different beaches and take trips into the country side. Korifi is a bit removed from all the hustle and bustle of touristy Hersonissos, which ensures you get a wonderful night's sleep (the mattresses are very comfortable). The suites are only a short walk away from a couple of tavernas that offer excellent Greek fare, and you will find all daily necessities at the nearby local supermarkets. If you are looking for a place where you can relax and rejuvenate and get away from it all, Korifi Suites is it.

Lovely surroundings after 55 steps! Take plug!
Our flat B6 was one of the lower ones but we still had to climb 55 steps up from the car park, if you walked into the village there was an extremely steep slope before even getting to the car park! The Manageress willingly offered help with the suitcases. Once there the apartment had a lovely shaded terrace, with a tree & planters & a view of the sea. The décor was pretty and fresh, the daily cleaning kept it spotless. The bath was a peculiar sit up slipper type & despite signs over most of Crete saying “Save water” there wasn’t a single plug in the sinks or bath, luckily I always carry a universal plug.

Great base for visiting local beaches and countrys
Great hotel, very nice and friendly staff. Room exceeded expectations, and in a very nice, quiet part of the town with good restaurants around. Slept very well and enjoyed my stay tremendously. Would recommend highly for someone looking for a base from which to enjoy the local area. I would not recommend if someone plans to stay only at the hotel, but excellent as somewhere to rest during the day, sleep at night, relax, and then visit nearby beaches.

Out of the way, way out
Ok, I admit it was a last minute booking and I didn't realize the taxi would cost $40 Euros, and no one was there when I arrived, it looked scary deserted, but a lovely Albanian woman came immediately when the driver called the number posted. My room was like a hostel, not a hotel, and if I had been a hippie hitchhiker with a boyfriend and drugs, it would have been fine, 40'years ago. The carafe of Raki with aluminum foil over it was a quaint touch! But the best part was the all nite long lightning and thunder storm. I have to say that the manager tried to make me a better offer on the price when I moved out the next morning...but I wouldn't recommend the place...perhaps there are other, more comfortable rooms...the beautiful Bougainville and the overflowing downspouts could almost make up for the lack of amenities ... Almost

A picturesque hotel with great views and plenty of tavernas nearby. Its a good 20minutes walk from the beach but unspoilt as a result. There's lots of secluded areas to hide from the midday sun and our children loved it. The manager and his staff were very helpful and provided us with useful information on the sights and activities nearby.

Beautiful Hotel!
Very nice hotel in a cute little village on Crete with easy access to beautiful beaches that are in the vicinity. There are also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance that provide mostly Greek and Italian menus. The hotel suites are comfortable and come equipped with a kitchenette and stocked with some basic utensils. The rooms have great views of the sea and /or pool. Management and staff are very courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel - it is much more affordable than hotels that are closer to the coast.

worst night of my life
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. I took the 4.6 out of 5 that this hotel was rated to mean I would have a great vacation but it did not start off that way. First of all upon arrival there was not a soul to be found. I had to find another hotel guest to help me track down the hotel manager. I was also under the impression that when one books an "ocean" view that you can actually see the ocean. This was not the case. All I could see was the neighbor's water system on their roof. When my door to my room was opened I was horrified. It looked like it had never been cleaned. Since I was arriving in the evening I decided to give the place a night. I did not know I'd be charged for extras like safe deposit box, a/c, internet, etc. If I'd known this I would never have thought to stay here. I was also under the impression that the hotel was within walking distance to the main town. This is not the case. If you stay here expect a more than 30 minute walk to a bus station all down hill. Also don't expect screens on the windows if you dont want to pay extra for a/c or a clean bathroom. Not only was the bathroom awful there was no hot water and the tub didn't drain. I checked out immediately the following morning but had to wait for the hotel manager to show up at 10:30 am and only after I asked the "housekeeper" to call him because i had serious issues with my room. Not only that but the manager refused to give me a refund. If anything I'd recommend staying at the Creta Maris hotel which is located right on the beach and a quick 2 minute walk to a bus stop and travel agents who can book tours of crete for you.

Lovely Spacious Villa, but hidden extra costs
The fridge did not work. The AC, internet and use of safe are at all individual extra cost. These hidden costs are quite disrespectful, and shocking to the guest who expects a normal package. I would have preferred to pay more for the room with these basic features included, than the dishonesty of the hidden costs. They are also quite difficult to obtain as the reception closes early.

''Exceptional rooms and location''
This is not just a simple hotel it is an experience! We could not be more pleased with our relaxing stay at the Korifi. The location was excellent. The staff were really helpful, the word faultless springs to mind, especially the receptionists and maid staff. The breakfast and dinner was excellent, Someone says on here the best they had in town and I would not disagree with that one bit. We found the rooms excellent, clean, relatively spacious for what is a city of hersonissos central hotels. Parking might be a small problem, if you were coming in the high season so what else would you expect!

Strongly recommended!!
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were great especialy if you can upgrade to the high suites. The location is amazing, not far from the beach and a minute's walk into the small traditional villages which is bursting with tavernas and some bars. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant for an evening meal, they do have great local hot food during the day for a shady lunch if you can bear to stroll off the beach. There is entertainment each evening in the townn of Hersonisos and foclore dancing once a week in the next village, it's great fun seeing the locals dancing. My son and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

OK-no major issues
Nice setting-suited our needs of central location yet pretty quiet. Breakfast was an issue as we had paid for it-but they were reluctant to provide it.Hot water packed up for the the last three days and they did not seem to be able to cure it. Clean and nice little suite-not the easiest place to find.Never try and do it after dark for the first time ! Lots of OK places to eat and drink within staggering distance. If you don't like a bit of a climb-then don't try it.

The Best around the area, our 8 th time!!!
The location was outstanding! It was Piskopiano of Chersonissos overlooking the water. Our room had the perfect view with garden and bbq area under the dramatic lighting mountain. Also the pool was nice for our teenagers. The room was quite roomy for the four of us and extremely clean. The staff was very helpful. We took the hotel up on the transfer from the airport and that was worth the cost. We upgraded our room type and we had brilliant holidays from the best to the excellent with almost everything complimentary. We’ll never forget our vacations and we’ll be back soon.. Many thanks Clare

Worst Hotel EVER...
If you're looking at Korifi Suites' prices right now and is thinking... "this is cheap place and pictures look nice... maybe I should give it a shot". Well don't bother. Save your money and I promise you that you'll save a LOT of heartache. At the end of the day you don’t end up saving that much anyways cause this place charges 5 Euros for internet per day which the owner makes you pay for your entire stay (not only the days that you need it cause he’s too lazy to change the password). They also charges 7 Euros a day for air conditioning which is unheard of at any of the places I’ve ever stayed at. If you do end up deciding to stay here than here are some helpful tips: 1. Please remember to bring some bug spray because there were some mosquito infestation problems when we stayed there in late September. 2. Bring earplugs because the walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING in the neighboring rooms. 3. Bring some fabric spray because the blankets smell like they’ve never been washed. 4. Bring slippers or flip flops because the bathrooms have a layer of slimy grime. And to be perfectly honest, I've stayed at many different types of hostels all across both eastern and western Europe (yes I said Hostels... not Hotels) and the cleanliness of this place is just flat out horrendous compared to most hostels. In addition to all the My advice to anyone looking at this place… is to keep looking cause it’s not worth it.

Mixed experience, decent for a cheap apartment
We arrived at 4.30am and despite the hour the owner was willing to put us in a room early, for which we were grateful after a long journey (for a price though). First impressions: accomodating but out for every cent. Rooms are clean, bright and airy, loads of windows (2 of these overlooking neighbouring balcony, 1 directly into our bath tub!) Air conditioning is extra so we left windows open at night instead--we were eaten alive by mosquitos though! Functional kitchen and bathroom, nice balcony. Complex is beautiful and tidy. Taxi transfer from the airport was expensive. Next time I'd use the bus--efficient, inexpensive, goes direct from the airport to Hersonissos (closest town). Hersonissos itself is touristy but pretty in parts and the beaches are worth a visit. Piskopiano village has lots of lovely places to eat and drink and shop (we liked Supermarket Emily). Favourite restaurant: Elisavet, just down the drive from the apartments--pricy but professional. Only qualms relate to the hotel owner, who was not very forthcoming in advice, eg. when we were looking to visit Knossos. But he did drive us to the airport in a taxi strike (for the same extortionate taxi fee) and seemed amicable enough when he was around. Rented a quad bike from Pops Motors (worth it) and service was excellent. KTEL bus service is ideal for longer journies. Piskopiano is lovely on foot but the hill could be punishing in the heat. We flew with Aegean--no problems, nice hot meals and drinks included.

Wonderful holiday
We just returned from 2 weeks at the Korifi and we loved it.The hotel is clean , comfortable and the owner is very friendly. Our room overlooked the pool and the sea which made sitting on the balcony a treat. The rooms are basic but nice and the owner was very helpful in organising car rental and ensuring we enjoyed our stay. The room was cleaned everyday and towels and linen were changed every 4 days. You can have access to the internet ( 3 euro for PC or 5 for wireless) in the reception , which also has a small library . The village of Piskopiano itself is very lovely and we would return to the hotel. All in all a great holiday.

Korifi Suites provided comfortable and clean
accommodation for our 3 night stay on Crete. The building is beautiful, very picturesque and romantic with it's many levels, swimming pool and landscaping. The bougainvellias are beautiful! Be prepared to pay extra for air condition as it is not included in the price of the room. This was not made clear in the website description. Having said that, we found that we did not need it asbeing high up, there was always a nice breeze. It is located away from the main road (you have to walk a short but quite steep incline) which makes it quiet from the late night bars and parties. You are close enough that a short walk to the main road will provide all the restaurants, mini marts and bars you might want. We recommend Kosta and Eliotas' restaurant with it's lovely patio facing the beautiful church square and its quaint outdoor 'room' and truly excellent food. Everything we ordered was fresh, flvourful and authentic and well priced. The propriertors were friendly and welcoming. George at Korifi Suites was very helpful in renting a car, getting a taxi and gave us excellent advice on which places to visit on our short stay. Wherever you go in Crete you have to be prepared to contend with hills. The beach at Hersonissos is a fair walk from the suites and the town, downhill all the way there and , of course, uphill coming back. Be prepared to rent a car, scooter or ATV to get the most benefit of your experience in Crete. We loved the Suites, the town and Crete itself and will be back.

away from the mass
In the dark it is a bit of a challenge to find Korifi Suites Boutique Hotel. Prior to setting out I had requested directions and was sent a Youtube clip by Nadia, which was a fantastic help, as the streets turned out to be narrow and steep. So much so, you'd think you'd get stuck, if you were going any further. But no, eventually you end up in the hotel's parking area, and the hairy ride is forgotten as soon as you meet Flora with her beautiful smile to welcome you. Our initial thoughts were we had arrived in a magical place passing the lit swimming pool and seeing the sea and shimmering lights of the busy town below. The assigned room was more an apartment, as it sleeps five in two rooms. There was also a kitchenette with some utensils, but who would want to cook when there is a choice of good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby! Though the furnishings are simple, the complex is really attractive with a number of units clinging onto the hillside, connected by steps. Each unit has a table and chairs in front as well as several seating areas scattered around. Of the five hotels we stayed in during this trip Korifi Suites was the only one with a bath and where the shower head was fixed on the wall. Curiously, everywhere else the shower head had to be hand held risking a watershed. Korifi Suites Boutique Hotel? Recommended!

Wow - what a view!
We were looking for a short trip away for late Summer sunshine and plenty of relaxtion and Korifi Suites suited exactly! Positioned approx. 20min walk inland from the mayhem of Heronissos, in the peaceful village of Pisko-Piano, it provided stunning views of the mountains and coastline. Lots of local tavernas and restaurants in the village itself and plenty more to explore in the 2 villages either side (both a 5-15 min stroll away). Manager & staff were extremely helpful during our visit and also prior to our arrival to assist with transfer and restaurant bookings. Our room had everything we required, including a huge balcony and exactly what we expected from a good traditional Greek apartment. The pool was gorgeous and just about warm enough for a quick dip! Would definitely recommend these apartments and can't wait to return for a quick recharge.

Can't wait to go back...
We had the most relaxing and peaceful week at these apartments. The staff, George and Fleur were most welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The Korifi is set back in the hills above Chersonisos, in the village of Piskopiano. A small, simple village which came alive when promenading in the evneing to choose where to eat. It offered both small Taverna's and excellent Restaurants overlooking the night lights of the town below. Both the food and service were of very high standards. The Korifi offers simple amenities which are kept exceptionally clean, a small unusally shaped pool is at the centre of the apartments surrounded by a few small sunbathing areas and a pretty garden to the rear of the rooms. There was plenty of space to find 'your own area' or to chat with the other guests. We will without a doubt be returning to this 'Oasis of calm' , as with only a twenty minute transfer from Heraklion Airport it it possible to go for even a few days 'R&R'.

Multiple items was well bellow the 4 star status of the hotel and insider select status. While the place appear charming from the outside with a nice pool, it lack proper air conditioning (can cool one room but not the other and is working only when in the room and takes hour before having effect). Optional WIFI internet did not reach the room and was available only on the balcony (to the surprise of the manager !!?? I question his honesty on this point). The bottom of the bath painted and flaking. It is also fairly difficult to get without GPS and checking carefully small sign on the wall. Clearly does not deserve 4 star and expensive compare to other place we visited in Crete. Expedia should not push it so hard with special status.

Clean comfortable self catering
Let’s start with what Korifi Suites is not. If you are looking for a hotel with mini-bar, restaurant and possibly 24 hour room service then this is not the place for you. If however you are looking for a comfortable, spacious well serviced apartment then Korifi Suites is spot on. The hotel is situated in the small hillside village of Piskapiano which (thankfully) is about 3km from the party town of Hirisonossos. Piskapiano boasts several tavernas, bars and a minimart so there is no problem with eating out or self catering. Our apartment consisted of lounge/kitchen, bedroom, shower and WC. Each apartment has been carefully located so each has a sea-view terrace with table and chairs for al-fresco dining. The kitchen is equipped with two rings and a small oven as well as a fridge. There is a smallish swimming pool which is open from 8am to 9pm. The hotel is well run. The rooms are cleaned each day and fresh bedding is provided regularly. The staff are friendly and helpful. During our stay there were a variety of other guests ranging from families to couples. There was no problem with noise or rowdy behaviour. If you are looking for a very pleasant place to stay on the north of the island for a couple of days or a couple of weeks where you have the choice of eating out or eating in then I would say look no further.

Relaxing, close to beautiful village
The Korifi Suites was wonderful. It was quiet, outside of the large cities and noise. It is conveniently located near a small village with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. The beach is in walking distance (an uphill climb to get back though), as is the bus stop to travel around the rest of the island. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was beautiful and practically empty so my husband and I enjoyed sunbathing and swimming daily without lots of other people. The owner was very helpful and kind. He even called the taxi driver on our way to the port to speak to us and tell us good-bye since we had left before he could speak with us!

This was a beautiful and charming place. We booked a triple for 3 nights. All of the work seemed to be done by one person, but it was clean, comfortable, and when we saw her working and needed something, she was very attentive. There was no map on the web site to get there, and the google map we printed was useless. Luckily, there were good signs once we left the highway, but some people could miss them. Look for the solid triangle. The room was comfortable and the third bed was in a room with the kitchen It was stocked with food for continental breakfast which was a nice way to do it. It was a walking distance from several great restaurants (for dinner) so that worked out very well. Our room was up 64 steps, but it was pleasant, as we walked by the pool and the other suites. We were quite pleased.

The hotel is up a pretty steep hill, so be aware! But its great to be above the busy streets. The view and calm of the place is very nice. Its a good laid back place, I would stay again.
