Wonderful breakfast, lovely room. A bit of mix up regarding city tax that was collected upon checking in and again at check out. No one informed us the tax was per night. I would have thought all taxes would have been collected at check in.

Very nice hotel with great rooms and lovely amenities. We really enjoyed our three night stay at the Galaxy. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast the best we’ve had on our travels with so much fresh produce and warm food options. Good location with a short walk (15 min) to the old town, also the ‘hop on hop off’ bus stops straight outside the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! When I arrived on an extremely hot day I was dripping with sweat after walking from the bus station. The concierge offered me a "refreshing towel" to wipe my face off and honestly, it was the highlight of my 3 weeks in Crete. They answered any questions I had. I needed to mail some postcards and they had stamps for sale and mailed them for me, saving me from having to walk around and figure that out. They had a cab to the airport waiting for me at 6am on my departure day which was a huge stress relief. The room was great, big, clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. I only had a few minutes to spend in the pool but it was nice. It seems to only get sun on it for a couple of hours since there are buildings surrounding it but it didn't matter since it was so hot outside and I didn't need to get sunburnt anyways. The location was convenient. Plenty of dining options nearby and also a short and pleasant walk to the city center (maybe 20 mins). Part of that walk is through a relaxing park with a nice place to get coffee. Would definitely stay here again! Do it!

Two Night Stay
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was good, less than a 15 minute walk to the city center. Really had a North American hotel feel to it, particularly the rooms. Pool was closed for cleaning unfortunately, but all in all, we didn't have any issues. Only about 10 minutes or so from the airport, so very convenient

Good…but get better double glazing.
Nice smart, clean hotel. Breakfast good. Room was good size. However, my room was facing the main road outside and you could hear traffic most of the day and night.

Large comfortable room with very good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. There is a small car park around the back but you need to ask in reception for them to open the barrier for you.

The hotel genuinely seemed to have given thought to what guests might need away from home. Without asking, they supplied dental hygiene, shaving and shower accessories. Even provided washcloths—something that most hotels seem to have abandoned post-Covid.

The rooms were quite dated and not what we expected. The pool was not operating when we were told it would be. Beds were not comfortable either. They had a great breakfast. Lobby and reception area was nicely renovated. Rooms needs some work.

This is still my favorite hotel on Crete. My only suggestion would be to offer free drink options at the dinner buffet just like the breakfast buffet. Free coffee, free juice, free water.
