Place to be at sunset and sunrise
The location across road from ocean was breathtaking, especially at sunrise and also sunset. Take it in from chairs on front patio or walk across to rocky seashore. Lots of photos to fill your reel. One of a kind feeling to this place with many personal touches by the owners, including artwork throughout home and carefully curated gardens — just like the photos. Not your normal VRBO as it does feel like you’re staying in the owner’s home. 5* if you like their style. Had one issue with main bedroom, as the mattress is past its use by date with ridge in center and leaning toward headboard likely due to damaged springs? An easy fix I hope they’ll address with fresh mattress for future guests. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend for the area.

I am pleased Jeremy enjoyed his stay with us. Regarding the possible bed issue: I was surprised by his comments as the mattress is not that old and is a specially designed orthopedic one. Generally our guests have commented at how comfortable it was. In saying that, I will definitely look into it and see what needs to be rectified, as the comfort of my guests is paramount to me. Thanks

Great location
Aslantis is in the perfect location to visit Napier, Havelock North, and Hastings. And literally across the road from the beach. Surrounded by wineries as well. Greeted by Paula the owner and Feorgie the friendly cat.

Place to stay if you want to unwind and recharge.
Paula and Keith were awesome hosts. The accommodation couldn't be faulted. A great attention to details. Some special touch were added (Ie bottle of wine grapes, cookies, ect). Comfortable house facing the sea. I highly recommend it. Thank you again Paula and Keith.

Charming art deco house right by the sea - lots of lovely touches in the house including a welcome by the owner and with almost everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and very handy to Havelock North and Hastings.

Wonderful stay in Haumoana
The house was beautifully furnished and the location was wonderful - right across from the sea. Very well equipped kitchen. Clean and bright. Paula, our host was very welcoming and accommodating and communicated very well with us. Great coffee and convenient grocery a short walk away was a plus. Highly recommended!

Beautiful quiet getaway
Paula and Keith are very friendly and helpful, and keep the property beautifully tidy and clean and well-organised. The house is also very well-situated by the road along the beachfront, so you can eat lunch on the terrace and enjoy the sun and the waves, or hop over the road to wander along the beach (it's a stony beach, but that means it stays quieter than a sandy beach would). A lovely spot!

We were greeted by Paula upon arrival, who was friendly and welcoming and answered any questions we had. The location is amazing - right on the beachfront , with lovely sea views from Napier to Cape Kidnappers. The house is beautifully furnished and has everything you could ever require. There are lovely welcoming treats that were appreciated too. The hosts go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. We loved being able to walk along the walkway or beach, a coffee just 5 mins walk along with a well-stocked Four Square. Now we have returned home, we miss sitting on the deck having breakfast and our morning coffee with the stunning views. We enjoyed being able to easily self-cater meals when we wanted to and used the BBQ on one evening. The two outdoor spaces provide options and privacy. Needless to say, we loved Aslantis Beach House and can’t wait to return. We highly recommend this property.

Greek oasis near Napier
The place has a great atmosphere, especially outdoors, where there is a lovely cactus garden and a separate courtyard where one can barbecue and dine in privacy, surrounded by grapes and geraniums. The house is well appointed and comfortable, with a nice view over the road, of the ocean. The TV is basic NZ and useless. The internet connection speed is marginal, but that may be improved as the municipality was putting in new underground cabling when we were there. There are however, numerous eclectic CD's of old movies which may tickle your fancy. Walking on the beach is tricky as it is composed of a myriad of tiny rocks but good exercise. One of us kept picking up the rocks as souvenirs!!! About a 20 minute drive to either Hastings or Napier. The whole area is quite isolated from the rest of New Zealand. We, an older couple, did really enjoy our 2 week stay there.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Aslantis Beach House. Haumoana is indeed such a special place: turquoise seas and stunning sunsets and the rugged east coastline. Being relatively close to the twin cities Hastings and Napier plus Havelock North is a great advantage, along with award winning wineries and great cycle tracks. As discussed, we don't have Sky, but as you've said, there's DVD's galore. NZ TV has it's own parochial charm! Wifi is adequate and will no doubt improve. We look forward to seeing you both in the future.

Stunning beach house with ocean view and sound
Our stay in this lovely beach house was perfect for our needs. Paula and Keith were extraordinarily warm and welcoming hosts. The garden was mesmerizing cosy and private and the house was very clean and beautifully decorated. It offered everything you need to live and in case there was anything needed, Paula an Keith were open and happy to help. We wish to come again in our lifetime.
