Independent, Hanoi Hotels

I stayed for 5 nights in Golden Orchid. My stay was pleasant. I booked a double bedroom on 2nd floor. The room was nice and clean. I had good sleeps the entire time. In fact if not for my alarm, I would had trouble waking up due to how comfy the room was. There was no noise during my stay. What made the hotel even better was all the staffs. They were warm and helpful. Especially the manager (Amber) and one of the staff (Tom). The manager is amazing. Simply the hardest working person I have ever meet and very friendly. She always there every time I went in and out. She helped with my tour arrangements which were at fair price. Always pleasant to talk to. Tom always served customer with warm smile everyday. The positive attitude of the people there made my stay enjoyable. Free breakfast was provided with many choices to choose from. The location also is very convenient. Perhaps 3 minutes of slow walk to the lake and the water puppet theatre. I have no regret choosing this hotel and love to stay here again next time - Izam

My brother and I stayed here for a few nights. The staff was unreal, very helpful and friendly. Classier room, especially for the price. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

Stayed here on and off over a period of two weeks while experiencing Hanoi, Halong Bay, Cat Ba and Haiphong. Classic St Hotel made a great base camp with friendly, helpful management and staff. It was the perfect place to meet up and spend time with our son and his girlfriend, in the course of their cycling trip from NZ to the UK. When we showed interest in the intricately carved carrot flowers, the delightfully cheerful kitchen staff all dropped what they were doing and gave us a demonstration of this delicate art, which we much appreciated. Much thought and effort has been put into the furnishings and decor in the lobby and dining areas, creating a wonderful South East Asian ambiance.

The hotel provides shower before check-in. The hotel is very close to Hoan Kiem Lake. Thirty minutes walk from The Ho Chi Minn Complex and around 15 min from Hanoi Opera House. They helped me to find a tour to Halong Bay.

Prior to flying, I booked 3 separate nights on the same day, planning to visit other parts of Vietnam in between. On the same day, the manager Alex noticed and emailed me, upgrading my room to a deluxe room and offering to plan out my entire trip by suggesting cheap tours that had initially had to plan. It saved me a lot of effort, and the partnerships the hotel had with other tour agencies were really awesome. I booked a day trip to Hoa Lu & Tam Coc and my 2d1n stay on Halong Bay. In addition, Alex also gave us additional perks like discounts on meals and spa in the hotel, and offered us free airport transfer (2 way) and escorted us and assisted us with our luggages to the train station when we headed to Sapa. Before we left, they even gave us a room to wash up. The initiative taken on the part of Alex and his team of staff was really remarkable. Going out of the way to help us really made our stay a lot more enjoyable! Finally, for an incredible affordable rate per night, the hotel was luxurious and comfortable, with all the ammenities we needed. Wifi was strong, can't complain on that front. I love how the hotel was small yet had everything. Buffet breakfast (super huge variety), spa, lunch and dinner menus, room service etc. All in all a wonderful place to stay!

This hotel is on a very quiet street while also being as close as it is possible to be to the major Hanoi attractions. Hanoi has many hotels guests seem happy with but we did not see any that we would have preferred to ours. The staff is very nice, also.

My guest is very happy with all the services of this Hotel. All the staff had given very very fantastic service. Help to client to get car..provided them Indian food.

My first time booking hotel and flight and was a bit worried on how the hotel would be like and I was amazed on the hospitality of the staff in the hotel very well mannered , helpful, courteous and the location was good , everything was walking distance away, enjoyed the breakfast spread and the vicinity..... good place.

Fully impressed with the service from greeting when we arrived and information given about the city as well as tour arrangement. They pay attention to small details and breakfast is amazing. The room is nice and clean and comfortable although it is just a small hotel. They respond very fast to our requests. Hotel is in quite a good location with walking distance to the lake where there are quite a few restaurants.

We didn't actually stay at this hotel because we were upgraded to stay at their new hotel the "La Siesta" for its soft opening. However, the check in process alone would bring me back to this hotel or at least to this hotel line every time I go to Hanoi. I have never been greeted so wonderfully and attentively. When we were upgraded the concierge literally escorted us in the cab all the way to the new hotel and up to our new room. Fantastic.
