“Good clean hotel which was great value for money”

Great place to stay just five minutes from the Reeperbahn. We got a fantastic deal and couldn't have asked for better for what we paid for the room. Room and bathroom were both large and very clean. Would certainly recommend for a long weekend break.

“Great Stay in Hamburg”

This was an efficient, sparkling clean hotel with very nice rooms and a superb breakfast each day! I have already recommended it to several people! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a perfect location for people who like to walk places. I wish more hotels would be like this one!

“A Hamburg Gem”

I was very impressed with the quality of this hotel especially for the price. The staff was all very welcoming and the rooms very comfy. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the city center but very close to the Reperbahn, the red light district, which has many theaters and there is something happening at all hours. the hotel is removed enough though that it is extremely quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

“Quality Hotel”

We stayed with our two children, the room was small but the location, play ground, restaurants and walk to the lakes and parks made it a perfect place for us to stay while in Hamburg, Germany. The bathroom was new and spacious; English was spoken with no cultural barriers. We stayed a Tuesday and Wednesday not sure about Weekend traffic, there is a Theater entrance thru the lobby come the weekend, but it seems as if it would not be a bother. The wireless was not working. The morning Buffet was excellent. Thank you Expedia for the reviews and ratings it made our decision although initially I was weary it was a defiantly a good rating 3 1/2 stars. We were very pleased with the accommodations.

“NO PARKING”

We had to park our car in a public parking area on the other side of the park. It was about at 4 block walk. Not a huge problem unless it rains, which it does a lot in Germany. The hotel was very close to the U-bahn stop and attractions. I just worried about the safety of our car, but we had no problems with that at all, I worried for nothing. The price for two days of parking was very reasonable.

“Really Good Hotel. Very close to Reeperbaum. Very comfortable.”

I really loved this hotel. It was very clean and the bathroom was amazing! The shower was excellent after a long night on the Reeperbaum - a place we were very close to. About 5/10min walk - depending on what shoes you are wearing. :-) The only down side was the actual bed. It was about a foot off the floor and was sunken in the middle. I felt that it was very low and wasn't very comfortable, but it was OK - somewhere you get your head down. Also the pillows were very flat. I would have preferred more support. The bed was a king size bed with 2 single mattresses - which wasn't great. Cuddling up to your partner wasn't easy - possibly, but not easy. The hotel itself is very close St. Pauli U-baum station (the underground) and was easily accessible to all parts of Hamburg. It was far enough away from everywhere to have a quiet, peaceful night BUT central enough to everything so as you didn't feel left out of the action. I absolutely adored Hamburg and would recommend anyone to go. This hotel enhanced the experience. We also had 5 days really good weather which was the icing on the cake.

“Very good hotel”

The am Holstenwall was a very nice hotel to stay in, I don't think for the price you could do much better. It was clean, comfortable, and in a very good location. The only slight negative was the fact that it is on a busy road, so you may get annoyed by the traffic noise in the morning, but this wasn't too much of an issue. We would be more than happy to stay there again in the future.

“Great Location”

Excellent location for getting around the city, we walked every where as you then get a great feeling of a place. The staff were very friendly and we thought the breakfast was great.
