Comfortable and good location. .
Comfortable hotel near main train station. It is a bit noisy as sime of the trains run undergrounfmd quite close to the horel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The only thing we found unhelpful was that there was a set of stairs that you had to carry your luggage up right after you came through the front door.

Wir mochten dieses sehr gepflegte Hotel sehr. Super Lage, nicht weit von U und S-Bahn. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und professionell. Wir würden dieses Hotel sicherlich nochmal wählen.

The hotel was super nice, the staff were great and breakfast was incredible. However, the surrounding area was as some others noted, uncomfortable. We noted some activity that was sketchy and a lot of clearly homeless and transient individuals. We made certain to be back at the hotel before dark. To be fair this is a major port town and this location is right near the port area and train station.

The St Raphael BW Hotel has a very nice interior and the room was very spacious with good storage cupboards and drawers. The room was very comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. Check in/out was easy. The hotel is situated a short walk to the bus, train, s-bahn and underground stations. There are many small shops int he vicinity of the hotel and bigger brands located beyond the train station, about 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. A lot of the sights/landmarks are within walking distance or accessible via public transport. There were some vibrations from the underground when on the ground floor, but this was not a problem. Traffic noise from the main road outside could be heard, but the windows did a very good job of cutting most of the noise out.

Not bad hotel but the area was not the greatest
The hotel itself was ok, although the room felt small (even by European minimalist standards). Staff was helpful, breakfast was decent and the overall condition and cleanliness was pretty good. Unfortunately, I really didn't like the location at all; I actually didn't feel safe in the area, especially at night. If I were to return to Hamburg I would choose a different hotel simply because of the location.

easy to reach from the train station - though the area immediately around the hotel isn't that charming, one can be in few minutes in the city. the rooms are tiny and some showers are in bathtubs, making it especially for older travelers hard to get in and out easily

The staff are very friendly, the restaurant is terrific for breakfast, and the room is clean. However, at night, it was really loud outside and I had a hard time sleeping every night from the noise coming from the street. I also found the area nearby kind of sketchy. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent!

Good hotel conveniently located to the train stati
Decent hotel, 7 minute walk to the train station and subway . Lot of good international food around it. Hotels in really good condition, seems like a really high-end hotel from the 70s. Decorated with a lot of brass and gold . very clean and relatively comfortable, as I always say on my reviews About European hotels, The rooms are a lot smaller than American hotels. So if you’re from the US be aware the rooms are quite small. But this is standard for European hotels. The check in and check out was very professional and easy. I would definitely stay here again .

Convenient as it was near to the Hauotbahnhif. However passing through the street going to it there was an atea with homeless people and we got chased by a drunk person one night, not a nice ezperience at all. Staff was nice and helpful , room spacious.

The hotel locate 5 min walk to the Bus Terminal and 7 min walk to the Train Station which is great for me. This area is very mix with Turkish,Indian,Greek,etc.. so you can get good Halal food with great price. I travel with kid and I feel safe in the area. Oh! Great breakfast too.

Issues with the rooms
We stayed at this hotel twice. Once before our cruise and then afterwards in Hamburg. The first night we were in a basic room which was very hot and if we open the windows it was very noisy so it wasn't very comfortable that way. Second time we got upgraded to a quieter room at which was more spacious too. However there was a smell of body odour which we couldn't get rid of in the room and although we asked at the desk for someone to come and spray the room with something deodorizing I don't think that took place because after we came back from our time out in Hamburg it still smelled as bad as before.the actual staff were very obliging and friendly and everything else was clean and nice.another small criticism is that they do not have a ramp for cases to go up the stairs and I had a heavy case and it was was a bit of a chore. The area around it was a bit seedy however it was convenient for the main station and and other underground stations.
