This was perfect for traveling with kids. The room was large, there was a public and private bath. Staff were great with my toddler and there are kids areas and free snacks for them, while it's also in walking distance to other things in Gora. I would stay again.

We absolutely love the place. The breakfast was wonderful and enjoyable. The room is clean and the bed is firm yet comfortable to sleep in. We love the onsens both public and private. We had time to soak our feet after a day walking around. We highly recommend this stay .

Near Gora Station. Super convenient to navigate and find activities around the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary sweet treats and beverages at the lounge were very well appreciated. Love the breakfast buffet especially the Japanese local dishes on menu.

I really enjoyed the expansive Japanese breakfast buffet, 24 hour drink machines/ice pops/milk, inclusive snack/happy hour, and outdoor foot bath. Gora/Chukukonomori Stations are within walking distance as well as a Lawson and several bus stops so transportation during the day is no issue. The private baths had people lined up to wait during peak times when people returned to the hotel from sightseeing, but my partner and I managed to find time in the mornings before the baths were closed for cleaning. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay and great place to return to after a long day of travel!

Wish we had been able to stay more than one night here. It was pouring rain for our whole stay, but this hotel sure helped ease the disappointment of not seeing Mt Fuji during our stay. (We did luck out and see it from the train later in our trip.) The facilities are beautiful, we loved the women’s onsen and the private onsen, and we all enjoyed the onsen bath in our room -particularly my 12 year old daughter who was not willing to go to the other onsens with her mom/parents. Dinner was a little out of our price range, and we couldn’t find many dinner options in the area, but there was a combini within walking distance (also made the 12 year old happy.) Breakfast was delicious with so many options- the hardest thing was choosing which to skip! Definitely a place I’ll dream of until I visit again!

Avoid Superior room Type A. It is on the ground floor and the path is right outside the wide window. People walk toward the window. Not very peaceful. Avoid the very expensive dinner package, overpriced and tasted awful. Be aware of dirty underwear thieves. Breakfast was lovely. Nice location. Close to Gora Station.

They had a little library on one floor along with a little place where they served refreshments and snacks. In the evenings they had a little Happy hour with all the other guests there. The staff was absolutely amazing in both politeness and service. It was one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed the view out the window of the little common area was absolutely breathtaking. Also they had public or private baths at service. Very close to train station in. We absolutely loved it! The breakfast was one of the best we had the whole trip, a huge buffet, the biggest surprise of all! Highly recommend!

This property is like a maze. We were assigned to the condominium side. And there is no understandable way to walk inside the property to get to the room. The front desk staff asked us to walk outside of the property and get to the condominium side. It was pouring ring and we were rolling 2 big lugguages. That’s nearly impossible. After we found the room and try to use the inside pathway to go to the dinner area. Trust me … the map is really confusing and there is no way to understand it at all. So we ended up walking outside the property on the main road AGAIN. We went to the front desk staff and he is not helpful at all. After dinner … we have one of the stuff to walk us thru the gate, the doorS, the pathways, the stairs… we nearly gave up. Food is okay. Amenities are okay. Nothing special. Onsen is small. I honestly don’t recommend this at all.

Very nice and cozy ambience; an absolutely wonderful place to chill after a day of exploring Hakone! Just a little pity that the dinner menu is not changed daily to cater some variations of food for those who are staying for more than one night. Otherwise this place is perfect!

The quality of this hotel is top notch!! I am totally blown away with their service, room quality, hot spring, food quality and facilities. Surrounding around is quiet and safe, Lawson is within 7 mins walk. Goro station and local shops are within 5 mins walk. Art museum is 10 mins away. Staff are very nice and helpful. Most staff speak perfect english. Will book again and recommend to others!!

It was okay
It’s an interesting property for sure… very close to the train station which is a major plus. The place is very quiet and beds are comfortable, needed extra pillows. It’s an Onsen so the place designed around the concept, but several things are self service. Rooms are small, bathrooms are specially very small. The breakfast was ok, can get very crowded and not much space there either. A lot of young kids, so if you are looking for a quiet vacation this may not be it. Re Gora, there is not much to eat and pretty much everything closes at around 7.

- Great location (near Gora station) - Staff were helpful - Dinner was not repeated during my 3-night stay - Room and facilities were clean - Like their pre-dinner snacks and post-dinner beer - The indoor common area was relaxing and the view was great - Their outdoor area was beautiful - a bit lousy after dinner at common area, but it’s fine if you like chatting with large groups of people - private onsens were hard to get after 5pm which makes sense given their number of rooms

I like there are complementary drinks all day. The Onsen bath inside the room is nice. Dining options are limited but there are 3 Nobu related restaurants that opens at 5PM. For some reason the Gyoza center seems to be closed all the time.

We really liked the hotel facility and the location. The complementary drinks and snacks were an added bonus. The staff were very helpful. The only drawback was the cockroach found in the room on our first night and I also wished the duration for the breakfast could be longer.

Beautiful, clean and spacious condo. Lovely property with really nice common areas that we didn’t use much because our room was so nice. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were great. Short walk from tolzan railway stops and open air museum. Would absolutely stay here again if back in Halone.

Hakone Yutowa was a great getaway from the city! Accomodations were good and much more spacious than stays in the city. Amenities were great and transportation was easy- 5 minute walk from GORA- station. Included breakfast buffet was top notch and the free drinks in the evening was great. The only issue was our room smelt like sulfur so it was a bit off-putting but other than that, I would definitely stay again.
