The hotel is located at city center, close to the Malecón and in a very busy area during the day, but when business hours ends is like a ghost town, I don’t feel comfortable to go outside at all, but the worst part is the hotel has 2 tower A & B, happen that my room was located in tower B and in order to go to my room I have to cross the inside mall that is located in the middle of the 2 towers with all my suitcases and again don’t feel comfortable with this situation. and again when the mall close if you need to go out for any reason to have to cross the mall and inside is very dark, empty everything is closed and with no security at all. I don’t recommend this hotel at all, it has a lot security gaps for us tourist. Rooms are nice and spacious and employees are very attentive but out of that this hotel is a huge no for me.

The staff was really great especially with getting us to and from the airport. Check in was easy and convenient. Hotel buffet breakfast was good and had a great selection of both traditional Ecuadorian foods as well as international offerings.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was large and comfortable. We got some noise from the next-door neighbors (adjoining rooms) but it was otherwise quiet since we were in the back tower, which was strangely situated on the other side of a mall, but we didn't mind that. We loved the location. Also enjoyed the cookies in the lobby. Staff were not unfriendly, but they also weren't particularly helpful. They ultimately dropped a tax that they wanted to charge that hotels.com hadn't alerted us to, which we appreciated. The included breakfast was a very large spread and all options were pretty good quality--definitely our best hotel breakfast of the trip. Would stay here again.

I was recommend Oro Verde by my sister, I can honestly say that it was an absolute amazing experience! I traveled with my baby and from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at home. From check in with Ariel throughout our stay and at checkout the staff was friendly, courteous and attentive to our needs, especially my baby. The room was very clean, Mercy was our room attendant and she always made sure we had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Absolutely great experience I can not be happier and highly recommend a stay at Oro Verde
