Really nice staff and handy for a wedding (5 mins walk). Beds are comfy and despite being beside the M6 and in a roadside room, I slept well. Bathroom was in need of refurbishment.

Checked in, friendly staff, but the bedroom had a really terrible smell. The hotel was fully booked, so the staff arranged for us to have a room at the sister hotel round the corner, which was excellent. Cannot fault the service, very good.

Room did not have a working TV - asked to switch and we were accommodated. Restaurant, although largely empty, was not available for dinner as kitchen resources were dedicated to a wedding function elsewhere on the property. Hotel staff did help us book dinner at a sister hotel. Some lights in our room did not work. Overall, we expected much better for the price charged.

There was a mix up with the room when we arrived. We ended up walking in on a room that was already occupied. We got moved to another room but the key fobs didn’t work. We eventually got it sorted out. I’ve got to say apart from the embarrassment and slight annoyance the staff at the reception were very apologetic and gave us a round of free drinks for the trouble which was a very nice gesture.
The outside of the building looks great but I thought the rooms were very tired looking and there were multiple stains on the carpet and the bathroom was very shabby.
I thought it was very over priced for the experience.
Food was excellent. Room was good other than Sealant around the bath was not great . Over all it was a good overnight stay in a nice hotel .

We had no cleaners apparently due to COVID to clean the rooms, the lift didn’t work for our two night stay (not good for my 87!year old father to get up/downtwo flights of stairs), there is no lighting in the rooms - all bulbs too low wattage so you can’t see to get ready and the boiler kept going out so very cold at times.
Room very dated, bathroom smelt of stale urine, food was ok. Drinks extremely over priced, £12 for one glass of Prosecco!! Staff are rude and majority of the time nowhere to be seen.
First stay at hotel, welcoming attentive knowledgeable staff. Nicely appointed room which was spotlessly clean.
Evening meal in brassiere was superb and reasonably priced. Excellent stay & will certainly use again.

Staff and food excellent. However cleanliness needs too be addressed in the public places.
Disappointing that there was no additional measures in light of the current problems.
Hotel staff told us there were no additional measures, the hotel manager told us they had made changes but these were not evident apart from a sign saying residents only, there were still large groups, on looking at the breakfast situation we decided it was unsafe.
On safety grounds for ourselves, other guests and the hotels own staff we decided not to stay.
Was in room 31 never got a sleep as the motorway was right out side traffic all night went for breakfast it was all dryed up and cold would not book in again
