its a nice place to stay good ski/boot locker with boot dryer. its a short walk up a steep hill which might not suit everyone . very limited parking .

The hotel had a music festival going while I was there and was super noisy, tons of late night partiers making it impossible to sleep. It is an old hotel that has not been refurbished in a meaningful way. No sound-proofing......avoid if you can

Great choice for Gressoney La Trinite
Highly recommended. I was in Gressoney La Trinite to ski and the Ellex is centrally located, a few minutes walk to the lifts. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view down the valley. The hotel provides a healthy European breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, and a wellness center with sauna and hot tub to relax at the end of the day. Service is warm and friendly.

Excellent value for money out of season.
Excellent and secluded remote setting. Difficult to access but worth the climb up the mountain. Would advise to arrive in the day time. The staff were super. The spa facilities were nice and cost 12€ if booked in advance. No dinner was available as out of season but a couple of nearby inns did the job. Lovely if you like walking out of season . We went in August so the weather changeable. Breakfast was natural foods, healthy with excellent choice.

An all round thoroughly enjoyable stay
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a perfect location (though walk down to the main road and main gondola for skiing rather steep), food was really both very good and well varied and the spa a blessing after a days hard work on the slopes. Everything clean, well maintained and decor was relaxing and stylish. We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Ellex hotel over the new year in 2013 and plan to return.
