We had a great stay! Our greeting was so kind and we were able to keep our bags in reception so we could walk around while we waited for our room. The room was very comfortable!

Loved the room and the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delivered every morning, very nice! Area is beautiful, just a few steps from the beach. Beach is not sand, but very rocky, like the rest of the island. Beach front restaurants are expensive but lots of options within the village area. Check out Tom’s, he has very good seafood! Oyi is about 25 min drive, car rental is about 35€, and not too bad too drive in off season.

The breakfast was expected to be by the beach instead was delivered in our room. The problem with it is that we had no choice of what we can eat. Being seniors we both need to watch our diet due to our health conditions, so we couldn’t eat their food, mostly loaded with sugar or cholesterol. Also very limited items were sent to us and “american coffee was more like washed down 3rd day recycled grounds. Definitely not what we paid for.

The hotel was very clean, and the front desk/reception ladies were very helpful and so kind. There is a ton of shopping around the hotel, the beach is beautiful and the staff on the beach and hotel restaurant (Prince) were amazing. The breakfast service was phenomenal. Overall 1000/10 would stay here a thousand times over!

If you're looking for somewhere that is just amazing - look no further. From the moment you arrive you'll feel so relaxed. I'd recommend getting the room with the spa with beach view - it is great! You'll also likely have the lovely Maria at the front desk who is just such a friendly person to meet while travelling or the Makris brothers when you go to the beach club downstairs. We'd been travelling for about a month and just put this at the end of our trip, we wish we'd have stayed longer. The property is in great condition and the rooms are very comfortable, it is the perfect location and the people make it. Book and enjoy you won't regret it (just stay for a few nights so you can get the best out of the area)

Landing in Santorini and arriving at Makris was a great part of our European vacation. The rooms are great, well designed and appointed. The area of Kamari Beach is really a nice place to hang out, walk around, etc. The staff at Makris was fantastic and gave us some guidance as well on what to do. Would go back for sure.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Fantastic location right on the beach and literally yards from all the shops and restuarants. We had room 22B, large balcony with sun loungers and table overlooking the sea with a hot tub. The sun was on the balcony all day too. The hotel was impeccably clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would particularly like to highlight Maria who was super friendly. Would definitely return.

Very clean! The staff is very helpful especially Elini and Angelica. The air conditioning in the room is working well! The hotel is right in front of the beach, and beach walk is full of restaurants and stores so it’s convenient! Breakfast at the “Prince” restaurant is good (bacon, eggs, pastries, fresh fruits and juices, etc.) and so filling.

Beautiful property, poor service.
Room was clean and the location was wonderful. The reception staff, particularly the one on the evening shift was incredibly disappointing. Multiple times my requests and needs were dismissed and she would shuffle me away like they were not her problem. I would have to follow up with her multiple times until she would be willing to assist. It left me with a disappointed feeling for what was otherwise a pleasant stay. I have mixed feelings whether or not I would recommend this hotel to others.

I wouldn’t book here … room is huge but they try to charge for a baby cot … parking is at supermarket not their own and beach has huge stones … inappropriate for children playing. Owner and manager and receptionist rude and unprofessional.

All good. Reception staff great, beachfront room with small balcony and a working hot tub (which we were told not to use as we hadn't paid for it). Room small but functional and very clean. Breakfast in Prince restaurant was excellent. We want to stay next year but they are fully booked!

The location is great for the Kamari area: the path that runs parallel to the east coast beach is filled and two and with great restaurants and atmosphere. The room was very clean and attractive, and easily accessible within the property and to the outside streets so we could go to shops and restaurants. I get the feeling they could use more staff because our concierge was very personable and helpful but having to do a lot of work by herself, and sometimes struggled to balance it. But this was a very small detail during a very enjoyable stay. Two warnings, not complaints really: - the beach right outside this hotel is very lovely and accessible, but it’s a black beach, meaning, it’s volcanic rock and not “real sand” for sandcastles, etc. Wear beach shoes. - The resort provides a discount to the Prince beachside restaurant right outside the grounds, but remember it’s a separate entity and they charge for the use of the loungers unless you spend 30 euros on the drink/food tab there. That should be known because laying towels out on the rocky beach for seating/reclining isn’t terribly comfortable.

The hotel is nothing as described, we were shown to a room that had nothing like what the pictures showed. We were told that the hotel was in off season and they had told expedia the information should reflect that but expedia had not made the changes to their website. We decided to move hotels as the whole experience on the 1st day was completely awful.

NOT THAT CONVENIENT FOR THE AIRPORT
THE HOTEL AND STAFF WERE ALL VERY GOOD AND WE HAD A VERY NICE BREAKFAST (ONE OF THE BEST WE HAD ON OUR TRIP) BUT THE REASON WE STAYED IN THE MAKRIS WAS THAT WE WERE FLYING FROM SANTORINI AIRPORT THE NEXT DAY. THE HOTEL LOOKS CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT BUT IT IS STILL 30 EUROS TRANSFER AWAY. WE ASKED IF WE COULD HAVE OUR ROOM AN EXTRA HOUR BUT THEY SAID WE NEEDED TO CHECK OUT AT 11.00 AM.-WE KNEW THE HOTEL WAS ONLY 75 PER CENT FULL.

I love this hotel. We had just about the perfect stay. Straight from our transfer to the hotel (which they arranged for a small reasonable fee) the staff were brilliant - so friendly, helpful and kind. The room was amazing. Wonderfully decorated, clean, comfortable. The shower was great, the bed extremely comfortable and all of the mod cons required. It's in a perfect location, a 1 minute walk to the beach, and partners with the brilliant Prince restaurant. We come to Santorini fairly frequently, and I have stayed in many hotels. Next time, we'll certainly be staying here again.

We loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, steps away from the beach, and the room was spacious. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options for us to eat. The staff was really helpful and we would have loved to stay another few days! One thing we didn't realize when we booked this hotel - the beach access closest to the hotel is run by a restaurant and they charge 10 euro per person to use the lounge chairs. We found a place further down that didn't have this cover charge so it's wasn't a huge deal but was kind of a bummer that we had a bit of a walk to access the beach without the fee.
