Lovely hotel, though when we arrived we got a bit of a surprise to find it was attached to a hospital, which kept us amused slightly, but once you turn right at reception you forget about the hospital side of things, three restaurants and a bar, food was excellent as was the service , staff all very pleasant, facilities were great and really clean and I've never slept in a bed that size before it was huge
Very convenient to the city centre - excellent standard of comfort - staff very plesant and helpful. Great hotel for a city break - have used this location three times and will certainly book it again. If in doubt - book it you wont regret using this hotel
"Very good hotel close to centre, staff v. helpful"
Glasgow excelled our expectations and we hope to revisit! We took the Tourist Bus on the first day to get an idea of where everything was and subsequently visited 5 Museums which were free entry. The walk along the Clyde was very enjoyable particularly due to blue skies and sunshine. The number of restaurants was exceptional, we were spoilt for choice, and we went, as recommended to The Sloan to get a taste of a truly old Glaswegian Pub. We travelled on the Subway which was extremely efficient and modern. Overall we were impressed by the cleanliness of the City and the warmth and friendliness of all the people we had contact with. We would totally agree with the "Glasgow Makes People" slogan!
Stayed here for a night and enjoyed it. Plenty of choice for dinner as both the restaurant and bar serve quality food. Beds were comfortable and the room spacious.
The only disappointing aspect was that there was no wifi in the bedrooms (this is stated on their web page). It did make for some conversation as the lobby was full of internet users.
We stayed on a Thursday night and during the summer months the local pipe band will be playing at 7.30 in the square in front of the hotel.
Highly recommend the hotel.
