A great place to stay and room was very reasonable. Close to tram. Meal at bar underneath hotel was okay. Hostel also available at the location. Would stay there again. Grocery store right next door so very convenient for getting food-brownies there were delicious :)

I spent one night in Goteborg for an academic conference. I had one of Spoton's single rooms with no window, but it was clean, comfortable bed, good shower. Excellent breakfast in the Sport Cafe.The student on reception was very friendly. The hostel is located far from the centre, 40 minutes fast walking from the University in Vasagaten

Easy and smooth check-in. We stayed at the hotel part of the building (not the hostel) and the room was clean, spacious and seemed to have been renovated recently. Breakfast was great and the staff was very kind. Highly recommended!

Worst experience ever, SPOTON NEVER AGAIN
Worst experience ever! Went with my gf to spend new year's and it was the worst decision we've had. We traveled all over Sweden and Norway and this was the worst experience. We almost didn't enjoy Gothenburg because of this place. Trusted the 8.4 over 10 and some of the reviews, but we should've seen it was just a 1 star hotel. As we saw it was just a little cheaper than Scandic at centrum and had a window we decided to stay at the SPOTON HOTEL. Location is far from centrum, about half hour walk, when we got off the tram we thought some gangster was going jump on us. As it was a hotel we expected the room to be cleaned daily but they didn't do it even once. The shower had trouble as when the first one got a shower the whole bathroom was full of water and everything was wet, almost got the room wet, we told the front desk and they helped us with that but even when they got in to fix the problem the bed wasn't done and the room was still dirty. Breakfast was one of the reasons we booked spoton as it was included but we just had it once as it was terrible, my gf even got sick after it so we never had it again. Restaurant seemed very unhealthy and it also had a very unpleasant smell, the bacon there was like plastic as well as the eggs. We had a late check in and it was done in the restaurant, and the guy there didn't even had enough breakfast tickets for us. BTW don't bother getting a room with a view we had a view of an old building on the side nothing else and paid extra!!

Location was good but its hostle +hotel so they not provided fascilities to rooms as we need kettle,they said that you can use from hostle kitchen No heating was in the room and they not clean the room on 2nd day we said them for this but they ignore

A Great and Comfortable hotel 👍
It was a very good experience at Spoton Hotel! Staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially Jonathon, he helped me a lot, very appreciated !! The room is very tidy and clean , they clean up very well everyday ! The breakfast is awesome, thanks for the chef prepares those good food very well everyday.This hotel is just located opposite to the theme park, it is very good for take rest after whole day playing exciting rides and games. I definitely will recommend to friends and who is coming Gothenburg for visiting.

Rent och snyggt inne på hotellet, bäddsoffan var kanske inte bekvämast men helt klart ett hotell vi kommer boka igen för nästa konsert. Maten i restaurangen var långt över förväntan, mycket bra pizzor.

Spoton was perfect stay for us while in Göteborg. Very convenient to everything, great free breakfast, clean roomie. Definitely recommend and would return.. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Decent value and location
Acceptable accommodations for a stay in Gothenburg, with business at Svenska Massan and Chalmers. The room was small and had no windows, and they didn't clean the room every day unless specifically asked (and even then they didn't always do it). However, the price was right for the location. Breakfast was decent.

Could be fine but no way to cool my room
This hotel sucks, I really regret booking here. It's 15C outside and about 25C inside the room and other than the window opening about 2 inches to the sound of screaming children, there's no way to cool it down. I'm also getting to hear every word of my neighbor's phone conversation. The front desk basically just told me to deal with it when I asked how to make the room cooler, didn't even offer a fan or anything. I tried to take a cold shower but even on the coldest setting it kept surging hot water. I was excited because there's a kitchen setup in here but it's just not enough when you consider everything else. Not such a big deal for me but maybe for other people, I'm in building 3 which might have an elevator but it was nowhere near the entrance and not signed at all - I gave up after walking down a bunch of hallways and not finding it. I can't believe I'm here for 3 more days...definitely going to look to cancel the next 2 nights or maybe I'll just have to deal with it because Norway isn't exactly easy on your budget. I'm contemplating sleeping on the streets of Oslo at this point...

Gothenburg stay
Great hotel, only downside is there are no windows in the room. Room itself was very clean, modern and very comfy. Good size tv with great selection of channels. Breakfast in the morning was good and the evening restaurant food was great too. Definitely recommend!

The hotel section is brand new, matter of fact parts are still in construction/renovation. My room was very new and clean. The furniture is simple but functional, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower is modern and spacious. The small refridgerator works well and comes handy. Access through the staircase in the restaurant is a bit cramped if you need to carry more than one suitcase. Parking is for fee, approx. $20 per 24 hours. The area is ok, a little detached from downtown and close to an entertainment park. I was surprised to be reminded by the hotel staff to pay attention to possible thefts in the car, although I did not witness any concerning situation. The doubly-isolated windows work very well, and eliminate completely any traffic noise. WiFi is free, but it works intermittently and speed is low. A tram service to downtown stops right in front of the hotel.

Hyfsat rum men många skavanker som borde ha lagats (hylla trasig, tejpbitar på väggen). Fräscht badrum, rummet var välstädat men hade klibbigt golv. Frukosten var varierad men maten var enkel. Trevlig personal med gott bemötande. Bra läge.
