What a beautifully restored Villa, right on the sea, with immaculate gardens of mature , trees, new-laid stone walkways and driveway. Across the road is a fluffy-sand beach (unusual here).
The apartment rooms are spacious (also unusual here) with new and comfortable furniture and large dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped and new. Big and small supermarkets are right down the road. St. Tropez is intimate with newly cobbled streets that wind to the top of the hill, with lovely shops. The harbor in the old town has gorgeous yachts, cafes and restaurants and two great museums not to be missed. The coast road towards Le Lavandou should also not be missed: dramatic views of rocky coasts, sand beaches in small coves and lovely hillside houses. We loved the location and the Villa. The views of the sea from the bedroom and living room and the lovely decor and paint colors will live long in our memory. 3 lovely hilltop towns are close by, too. Thank you, Stephano and Mr. Bill!
Yesterday I returned from a fabulous 14 nights stay at this resort. Our apartment overlooked the Bay of St Tropez, I specifically asked for a good view for which you can pay 50 Euros extra to guarantee, well worth it! I booked a 6/7 person apartment for myself, my 4 year old son, 1 year old daughter and my parents. During our stay my brother joined us for 6 days, which worked out perfectly! The apartment isn't very large, but it certainly worked for us, after all, you spend most of your time on the beach or by the pool!
The park itself is beautifully maintained with lovely lush gardens, May/June is the right time of year to go as everything is in flower. The walk to the beach is 10/15 mins, you walk straight down through the campsite down the bottom where you find a nice not too big beach. This beach has quite a lot of little stones but my children didn't seem to mind.
We had a double bedroom, a small bedroom with bunk beds and there were two sofas in the lounge that turn into a single bed and a double bed. Everything was very clean and tidy. Freshly laundered towels, a tea towel, bed linen as well as plenty of duvets and pillows. There was a bottle of wine on arrival as well as a little box which contained dish cloths as well as a small bottle of washing up liquid and cleaning product plus 8 dishwasher tablets to get you going.
The resort is 1.5 hour from Nice airport by car. You can catch the Green Navette boat from Port Grimaud directly to St Tropez, well worth doing!!

The check in/out process was quick and handled well. The hotel is in a good location close to the beach and short walk to the port. The bus stop is just outside the hotel gate, which is good for transport links to the train station.
The hotel seemed "tired" and in need of a makeover. The pool area was not swept during the ten days we were there and there was an accumulation of what appeared to be grit at the foot of the steps in the pool. However the service was prompt at breakfast and during the day for coffee. The staff were both polite friendly and very helpful. It was a reliable middle of the road hotel.
