The staff were friendly, the cosy bar OK and the continental breakfast not bad. Everything else was terrible. The outside noise from a nightclub did not stop till after 11pm. The floor, even up on the second floor, vibrated every time a bus or truck drove past, and this went on all night. There was no hot water. The TV didn't work. If you stay there, insist on a room at the back of the hotel, not on the front roadside; I can only think it will be a little quieter.

This was a cheap place to stay by Central Station. You can walk to many places with easy access to transportation by bus or train. I would stay again if only for one night. I personally wouldn’t stay longer than a night. Didn’t have air conditioning. Shower was luke warm. Staff was friendly.

Good enough hotel for an overnight stay. The decor and the furnishings need updating. For example a tile in the bathroom is covered by duck tape. It’s clean/warm and was a comfortable sleep so did the job fine.

Hotel staff yes, shower eww no
The location of the hotel and the price was the main reason why I picked it. I needed a hotel close to central station for an early train onto my final destination. The staff very friendly can’t fault them there. The bed although lacking in pillows, I personally need ‘plump’ and at least 3 pillows for a good nights sleep. The bed was comfortable. Room its self wasn’t bad. The bathroom however eww. This is why my rating is so low. The shower was gross. Black stuff and other coloured dirt on the floor of the shower, not to mention the rust. Rust I can deal with but dirt and uncleanliness no. The sink personally was a little low but for one night it was manageable. Toilet was fine and it did have a lid so that is a +. Room was a little noisy (street noise and possibly lift noise) also definitely if you are light sensitive wanted an eye mask as it only had some pretty old blinds over the window. Tv didn’t really work but again no big deal. Overall besides the shower it was decent for what I paid. It did what I needed, a bed for the night before I moved onto to where I needed to go the following day

Hmmm
I’ll start with the positives, staff were great, location was handy, linen and towels were fresh and clean. However… The room was very tired, parts were dirty and other bits needed a serious clean that wouldn’t normally be completed by housekeeping such as the space between the 2 sets of windows that reduce the noise. The curtains didn’t close across the whole of the window. The bathroom had black gaffer tape in place of grouting and the external of the bath in poor condition. The gap under the room door was more than what you would normally expect by some margin. Was this worth the £54.65 I paid for the night? For location yes, quality of room no and in my opinion this is a £35 -£40 a night hotel not £54

Value for money
The Artto could be no better in terms of location and value. The staff are friendly and helpful, but id say the decor and condition of the hotel is tired. If you need a town centre crash-pad without breaking the bank, this is the place. Basic but great value.

Amazing staff and prime location
Really welcoming staff, extremely helpful they let us check in early and held our bags for us the next day. Every time we entered or left they treated us and asked about out time and what we where up to. The bed was large and comfortable. It’s in an excellent location just opposite the station. The only little things that let it down where just some random maintenance issues, such as a loose tile in yeh bathroom and some parts that just looked like they needed a fresh coat of paint. Over all great stay and would recommend/ stay again.

Staff are excellent and very friendly.cafe bar on the ground floor was really nice welcoming and reasonably priced. Cleanliness in the rooms wasn’t up to scratch with lots of dust on the walls and around the ceiling. Beds were spotless. Bathroom needed a better clean around the taps and plug but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, walking distance to everywhere. The room shook when trains passed but after the first couple of times u don't notice.. Only 2 channels on tv. Nice staff warm rooms good shower.

Not a good experience.
Arrived early and sat in foyer for 2 hours which was right beside the bar where a group was drinking. Very noisy, uncomfortable very worn couches. Would have liked the offer of a hot drink considering I had travelled 12,000 miles.

First impressions with the Reception and Bar area where very good but once in the lift you could tell work was needed ,The room wasnt the cleanest and the Bathroom was musty and full of loose and broken tiles

Cheap room which is what I wanted. The room vibrated when the trains went past, but to me that added to the charm of the venue. It's due a refresh, but for a place to lay my head after a staff party it was just what I needed. Thank you to the team at the hotel.

Great location right beside Glasgow Central station. I decided to book last minute for a Christmas night out. My room was available at 2:30pm, very nice welcome both on arrival and a breakfast. The lobby doubles as bar and breakfast are and is chic and trendy. Breakfast was self serve, continental and great value for money. Toast, Yoghurt, Coffee, OJ, ham, cheese, fruit and tomato and cucumber, highly recommend and would definitely stay again. My single room was in the fourth floor and for the price and convenience of location I was very happy. Comfortable bed, good shower and good quality towels.

I had realistic expectations when i booked as it was cheap. I expected basic, no frills accommodation but I expected it to be clean. The shower room was filthy. I should have asked for a new room but it was late when I arrived and I was tired. I cleaned the filth and hairs from the shower tray with wipes I had with me. The shower door was broken and would not close. The light above the bed did not work. There are shades and bulbs missing from the light in the bathroom. The lift and hallways smelt like cigarette amoke and cooking Overall disappointing but easily fixed - get new cleaners!

Downgraded hotel
We were disappointed with our stay. We stayed here previously a few years ago and the place has seriously downgraded. Everything needs a serious revamp - the lift sounds like it’s going to break down and you’ll be stuck every time you enter, carpets are dirty, tiles are misplaced in the bathroom and causing a trip hazard, tiles are mouldy and the towel rail was cluttered with dust and very rusty. Bed sheets were not the cleanest and we both felt very itchy the first night we slept in the beds. Beds provided a semi comfortable night sleep but the only positive we can take from this stay is that there was a good sized desks and two full length mirrors to use when getting ready. Also plenty storage for us to use. Other than that, thankfully we were out and about in the city more than we were in the room but there were just many little things that could easily be sorted that would have made our stay more pleasant. The room also had a foosty smell, damp and cracks in the roof.
