When booking the hotel I requested a disabled room and parking. On arrival it was necessary to go up some steps and request someone should come outside to unlock a wheelchair lift. Luckily my wife was able to do this. Imagine returning late at night in the pouring rain and having to go through this process. We then discovered the hotel lift could not accommodate a wheelchair. Finally the "parking" was out on the street - if you could find a place - having nothing to do with the hotel. The receptionists seemed uninterested and incompetent. Eventually, we spoke to the manager and to give him his due he admitted their fault and arranged an alternative hotel, this was appreciated. However, if you are in a wheelchair or require nearby parking do not go to this hotel. Also, "hotels.com" should check more carefully the claims made by their hotels.
Your review insists on categories - Cleanliness, comfort, condition, local area - of the questionnaire being filled in. My answers, however, mean nothing as I had to move to another hotel before seeing my room etc. However, my disappointment with the categories of Overall and Service remain as indicated.
