Spent a week recently at the hotel. We were moved to the 7th floor room. Great view. overall the room was basic. Microwave, jug, toaster in kitchenette but no utensils such as a plate or cutlery or drinking glasses. Everywhere we have stayed that has supplied kitchenette, always supplies plates etc. had to buy plastic ones and paper plates as a couple of nights we ate in and same for breakfast. Bizarre!
Pillows on bed were very uncomfortable and my recommendation for the bathroom is to supply liquid hand soap at sink and a shelf in the shower with possibly liquid soap and shampoo as this is what other modern hotels supply. The reception staff did not give us any info on what there was around to see such as bus numbers, shops, when the markets are on, food places, etc. The room also had no info supplied on transport or sights. The bus into George Town easy to catch and not a far walk from hotel, takes about 25 mins in depending on traffic., there is other little food stalls and small shops around but easier to buy at supermarkets in George Town. Beach is not the best and floating Mosque not far to walk to. We did not access pool on top floor but did view it, seemed OK. Service of the daily cleaners was very good.
