Excellent place to stay in Geldrop
This hotel was well located in Geldrop as we were attending a friend's wedding at Kasteelhoeve Geldrop, which was a 5 minute walk away, so very handy. Rooms were big and clean, only slight niggle was that the double bed is 2 single beds pushed together, which is a little bit annoying but a lot of hotels do this. The hotel is quite funky, modern and well decorated. It's in the middle of a nice square with a cafe outside, but we didn't get a chance to eat at it or have brrakfast. They also let us go to the room before check in time as it was already prepared and this was very helpful in advance of going to the wedding!

Excellent location
This is a quirky, modern hotel which is set on a lovely square which has several bars / restaurants all with outside seating. The Staff were super friendly. The room was large and very comfortable. There is no air conditioning but they had opened the heavy sash window for our arrival. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. I had a fillet steak with all the trimmings for under 20 euros and it was cooked to perfection. The town is small to medium size with plentyy of shops and a friendly feel. There is ample parking in many areas around the hotel including the large square adjacent to the hotel, which costs 1 euro for 2 hours and free between 6pm and 9am.

The room was nice and big, and the bathroom was awesome with a giant tub. It was nice too that the room had its own little garden, but since it was shared, you could not really leave the French doors open at night, which was a problem; the room was pretty hot (already in June when the outside temps are only in the sixties. The room and hallway were also really smelly. The location of the hotel is great though

It is located in the center of town and an easy walk to anywhere. The property has lots of history associated with it and cute. Breakfast was amazing! But the room was terrible. The only cooling was a floor fan, the window was too heavy to open, the room was so small it was hard to open/close the bathroom door. Parking is nowhere near, and almost all of it is paid (even though it's not expensive, the risk of a parking ticket is real because the local parking enforcement patrols all parking in the city center immediately at the start of the pay period at 9am).

Great Hotel in a little town in Holland
I came to Geldrop to hear a concert by a favourite band and chose Hotel Nijver because it was close to the concert venue. I think the hotel is quite fantastic, with two exceptions. 1. The shower is fairly complicated, to the point where I could not get a proper cold shower. 2. The English breakfast has great bacon, but is not really English.

Nice room, not used enough
The hotel was pretty nice. Quiet, but that's to be expected in a small town like Geldrop. It seemed like the room hadn't been used for a while since there was some dust and cobwebs around the room. The bed was comfortable and the curtains kept the light out nicely. Since it is such a quiet place, they don't always have someone at the front desk, so you have to wait around a bit for someone from the restaurant to notice you and come by to help. Overall a good stay, but there could be some better cleaning before a guest uses the room.

The hotel was more like a pub with rooms. It was very nice however with that outside cafe style seating that is typical on the continent. Table service was good.Breakfasts were not quite up to full English standard but the waitress was very nice and.helpful.. don’t ask bar staff to cancel a taxi however as after several promises the taxi still turned up.

Overnight in a quaint village in Holland.
We arrived after an exhausting day in Amsterdam to find that a community event was being held in the town square, which is where this hotel is located. The streets were blocked off, so I parked a block or so away and walked in to find the hotel. When I did, I was given very poor parking instructions, but was assured that I could not park overnight where I was. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get to the parking lot that I was told to park in, but all the access to it was blocked. I ended up in the parking lot of a shopping center about 3 blocks away. Once we got into the room it was quite nice and enjoyed the rest of our night there. We awoke on Sunday morning to a ghost town as nothing seemed to be open and no one was out the following day, so we moved on.

Great hotel in heart of a town
This hotel has a great urban feel to it. The staff are great, rooms seem recently renovated and are very comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic, bar area was great to chill in and try some of the local beer as well as the beer they brew themselves. I highly recommend this hotel.

dont go there quaint old Mierlo/Geldrop during carnival (kermis)
This was a major disappointment. I had brought my business partner from the US for meetings in Eindhoven. Rather than staying in a 'business hotel' in Eindhoven we thought it would be fun to stay in a village hotel. Little did we know that this place would be taken over by a carnival (Kermis) until 1.30AM. I feel the hotel should have warned guests by email that there would be a major party that would keep you from sleeping. Oh and by the way, even though the hotel websites may offer breakfast included, it is not.

When we made the reservations we got free parking and wifi. Parking wasn't free, we had to pay €10. Parking was free on the street till 9 AM then you had to pay. Super small room Very disappointing!!!

Very pleasantly surprised! Hotel was quaint and the owners and staff were great. The bar/restaurant was great-great food and a fun vibe. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Home away from home personal touch
I couldn't have been happier with any other hotel as this quaint hotel!! There personal touch and always helpful staff made me feel at home. Cafe attached with excellent food after a day of exploring topped every night. You will not be disappointed & I told the owner when I return they are my hotel of choice. Worth the short drive to stay in Geldrop shopping village vs. that I was going to stay in Eindhoven which is way too big and unfriendly. Truly thankful they made this Oklahoma girl feel welcomed!! Thanks so much :)

Hard to find but worth the journey!
This hotel is awesome! It was hollowed out from an older building and given a fresh makeover. It has a mix of styles of vintage and modern. Old fabrics and spools are spattered with modern amenities inside the room. Breakfast is a choice of different styles with plenty to eat and pack away later for a light lunch. The room was a little cold but was very comfortable after turning on the radiator. The location is great as it's right in the middle of foot area with a huge cathedral and shopping around the corner. It was a great place to stay and hope to stay there longer than a single night.

Got 90euro parking ticket and a bad attitude.
When we checked in the guy at the desk told us we could park our car around the corner but we could unload where we had stopped in front of a white building a few doors down from hotel on side street where other cars were also parked. We did this and when we returned to the car we had gotten a 90 euro parking ticket. The guy checking in gave us a bad attitude when I asked to upgrade my room to one with a bath telling me he didn't have one available. We ended up getting moved to another room by the owner the next day because our room didn't have a working phone or heater and had a missing mirror. The owner tried to call the parking ppl saying she also parks in that place temporarily but she had no luck. The room she moved us to was moldy and thankfully I had a charcoal filter travel mask because I would have been very sick from sleeping there. I didn't even bother to mention that to the owner, I just wanted out. When I went to check out they wouldn't take my credit card, then tried to tell me that's how they do it in the Netherlands, just a word of advice to them, all hotels take all visas in the Netherlands, not only chip cards. We paid cash, I was sooooo glad to leave and I will Never go back!!!

Disappointing
Quirky and fun, but not enough attention to detail. Yes the decoration is interesting and the restaurant and bar are nice. However the bin in my room had not been emptied and the toilet seat was not clean. The table was barely big enough for a laptop along with the kettle, nespresso coffee machine etc. Quite bizarrely, I was charged for the coffee from the nespresso machine. Note also the beds are twin, not double as advertised on hotels.com. I also didn't like the requirement to book your breakfast the night before - how do I know what I'll want until I've seen the choice?

Op het personeel is niets aan te merken, hulpvaardig, vriendelijk. Wij hadden geboekt voor een Deluxe twee persoonskamer met een 2 persoons bed. De foto's van de kamers zagen er prachtig uit. Tot onze verbazing werden wij in een achteraf kamer naast een proeflokaal met heel veel geluidsoverlast ingedeeld. Er waren 2 losse bedden en het topmatras verschoof iedere keer. Op de radiator zat een thermosknop wat je ook draaide de radiatorplaat bleef heet. Tevens hing er een hele nare schoonmaak middel lucht in de kamer. Er zat ook een vreemd smaakje aan het water. Het verblijf is voor ons heel teleurstellend geweest.
